I've had the Salad and Berry Spinner since last year when we earned them. I've used it twice for lettuce since then. The first time the lettuce didn't seem to get that dry but I figured maybe I packed it too tight. I tried it again with the Deluxe Cheeseburger Salad on Friday and put less lettuce in the bowl. It still didn't seem to get that dry. Am I doing something wrong? Do I maybe have a defective spinner, or a defective operator? I would hate to actually show it at a show and it not do the right thing.

You may have to spin it, stop, dump out the water and then repeat those steps 1-2 more times...just depends on how wet it is!

It certainly isn't "dry" but all of the excess water is off...

Also, make sure it is really spinning. That thing can go fast! Pump it and pump it and pump it...then stop it fast. Do that a couple of times and it will only have a memory of being wet.

There is never that much water in the bottom. I take the lettuce and rinse it in the colander bowl and then spin it a few times.

What should I do if the spinner is not rotating when I pull the handle?
