What do you all use... a paper planner or a PDA? :D
I have been using a PALM Pilot PDA for a couple of years now, but even though I have my whole life in it, I still seem to overlook things. I don't set the alarm on it because it is so loud and it's inconvenient:yuck:
Perhaps, if I use a paper planner instead I won't overlook things. What do you all think?:grumpy:

I use a paper planner. I dont have it in the budget to get a palm or anything like that. And you are right... I might overlook things if I can't figure out the features or anything like that.

I write everything down in a paper planner as well. Too cheap for anything else I guess.

What kind of paper planner do you recommend?

I use both. Well, kind of. I use my phone(which is a blackberry) as a portable planner. I also have a 2 year planner that fits in my purse. Everything starts in one of those two places. I also have a calendar on the wall that's awesome. It has a space on the left for each family member's name. Then, each day has a block that lines up with the names on the left. They're called Mom's Calendars. I'm looking forward to my 2nd one (for next year) for Christmas this year.

I use yahoo groups for their calendar feature. We set up a group for our family that way DH gets reminders about events coming up and such too. The idea was also to have the stepkids add their stuff too so we'd know more about what they were up to but that didn't fly so well. As for the day to day minutia I use a paper notebook I label "The Brains of the House"... there I keep weekly menus, more details plans for events coming up and such. I don't think I could use an electronic organizer... DH had one for a time but ended up not using it and cursing it out on an a daily basis trying to sync it with his Outlook... and he's an IT geek, it should come easy for him. LOL

I use a paper planner as well, but instead of buying one, I create it on the computer ... that way I can type in birthdays and anniversaries, without them taking up a bunch of room on the square for that date. I set it up like this: month at a glance, then weekly pages behind the month ... ie. January entire month, then 4 or 5 weeks of January, Feb entire month, 4 weeks February, etc. I love it ... I'm actually doing some up for my inlaws this year with pics of the kids on each monthly page.

I use a Franklin Covey Day 1, with a month at a glance, and dailys. You can buy inserts to suit your needs. It is the smaller version in a red leather book.

I use the freebie PC one LOL!

i try so hard to keep my small purse size calendar up to date but just can't seem to! I use my PC one for PC stuff. and the calendar on the fridge for EVERYTHING else. I must look at that thing 10 times a day (and still forget stuff :o)

That's a cute idea, I've done calanders before, but it's been awhile. Our family really needs one.
