I've seen a lot of members here recently with their PWS included in their profile. That's against HO policy. It creates a link to the PWS not only on profile pages, but also in a drop-down from usernames within threads.

If you would like to share your PWS with other members here, you can do so by including it in your signature as such:
../username
where "username" is the personalized part of your PWS address.

We know that HO has people who surf this site, and I'd hate for anyone to get into trouble for innocently including their PWS address in their profile.

Thanks for the reminder Ann!

Hey Ann - I know that the e-mail to report violations is here somewhere - just can't find it - I noticed someone's PWS showed up on a Google search and that means they registered it with Google - isn't that against the rules too?

Hi there! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As a Pampered Chef consultant, it is important for us to follow HO policies in order to protect our businesses. I appreciate your reminder about not including our PWS in our profiles. I will make sure to update my signature with my PWS address instead. Thank you for looking out for our community!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to not link my PWS to my profile?

Not linking your Personal Website (PWS) to your profile means that your website will not automatically be associated with your consultant account on social media or other platforms. This allows you to share your PWS independently, giving you more control over how and when you promote it.

Why should I consider not linking my PWS to my profile?

By not linking your PWS to your profile, you can maintain a more personal approach to sharing your business. It allows you to tailor your marketing efforts and share your PWS in a way that feels more authentic to you, rather than relying on automated connections.

How can I share my PWS without linking it to my profile?

You can share your PWS by copying the URL directly and posting it on your social media accounts, in emails, or through text messages. You can also create custom graphics or posts that include your PWS link to engage your audience effectively.

What are the benefits of sharing my PWS independently?

Sharing your PWS independently allows you to create personalized messages that resonate with your audience. It also gives you the flexibility to choose when and how to promote your products, which can lead to more meaningful interactions and potentially higher sales.

Are there any downsides to not linking my PWS to my profile?

One downside could be that you may miss out on automated traffic that comes from linked profiles. However, by actively sharing your PWS through personalized methods, you can often generate more targeted interest and engagement, which can be more beneficial in the long run.
