If so, do you take all or some? I've always taken all of them but since our product line is growing, I'm reconsidering. I don't really see alot of people trying our seasonings simply based on seeing/smelling them.

Your thoughts?

I just take the ones I'm using.

I take the ones I'm using for the recipe and at least one of the sprinkles (of course I will take all 3 in Feb.). But I also have a pill box (the M-F kind with enough openings for 2 weeks) and have a sample of each of the sprinkles except the sprinkles in it. I do tell them that the container isn't air tight and was filled a while ago so the scents might not be totally fresh but that at least they can get an idea of the flavors. They laugh but appreciate that - I've sold more spices since I started doing that.

I am THE WORST when it comes to anything pantry... I honestly forget we have those items. My bad. :o

I really like this idea Beth. What a great way to show all the seasonings without taking up a lot of room.

be careful though. Find one that has solid sides between the different dividers so the seasonings don't mix and I have found that mine needs to be kept "level" or horizontal. KWIM?

I bring ALL of them to every show!!! Man, I thought everyone did!!

I only bring the ones I'm using.

I know a consultant that uses the cheese board and small petite squares. She pours some oil in them with 3 of the spices she chooses to bring and has a guest cut up some bread with the bread knife for all to sample. This will be real good with the new dipping spices!!

those dipping oils are dyn-o-mite! I love the sundried tomato, I used the parm on french fries today :)

I bring them all too. I know I have sold more because of it. I try to pass at least one thing around to create interest.

Oh, that sounds yummy.

I usually just take what I'm using. I used to take them all but really never sold much. Reading this thread encouraged me to do the new parm dipping oil for our superbowl party today. Yum!!

I take all the spices with me and if the host has a glass jar candle, I ask her to light it and then I place the spice jars around the candle. The flame warms the spices and really helps to enhance the flavors. I also pass a few around and give them lots of ides on how to make dips, dressings or use in soups, stews or meats. It does help to increase to the $60.00 level for the FREE product too.

I did a booth this weekend and there was a really cool direct sales company that I saw there - Signature Homestyles. Anyone ever heard of it? I had NEVER heard of that company which is really weird. I guess they're popular in Canada, but they're based right here in St. Charles, IL (one town over from me). They have some Southern Living Type stuff but for much more reasonable prices. And they have a lot of cool organizational stuff too! I even considered hosting a show for the consultant who was really nice, but I need to get MY OWN show schedule going before I host for someone else. Anyway, they had these cool little narrow "baskets" that would be perfect for carrying seasonings to show. ONly 4 or 5 would fit in each one, but they come in sets of two. I think I'm going to order them and use them for that purpose and take to shows (woo hoo! A write-off!).

so now I think I will start bringing the seasonings to shows. The new pantry products obviously won't fit, but it'll be interesting to see if it generates more sales.

never mind - I googled them

I googled them too. I can't find prices anywhere...cute products, but not cute enough for me to provide my contact info knowing I'd just disappoint the consultant who calls me (i.e. not interested in hosting a show).

I make seasoning packets for my door prize basket...I got the idea off of CS a couple of years back. this way people are trying them......I'm not saying that I get a ton of calls to order the spices but I do have people @ the next show order.

By the way the Wasabi sauce is AWESOME!! I made pulled pork last night & used that as my sauce & it was out of this world :)

I usually just bring what I'm using- but in spring and summer I bring our grilling tools and usually bring 2-3 of the rubs. Mostly to promote our grilling items. To be honest the seasonings just don't cost enough for me to promote them a lot.

I have been highlighting them at my 30-minute chicken shows. I talk about how much flavor variation they (the guests) can have using our seasonings and rubs...and how it saves them the cost and time of trying to make their own seasoning combinations.

If you want to see prices, it seems like their individual websites have the actual catalog like ours does and you can see prices. THe consultant I met has a website: www.signaturehomestyles.biz/tk. If you're curious, there you go!

Supposedly they've been around 38 years! I just think it's so weird I've never heard of them, especially because they're right in my back yard!

they've been in our area for about 11 years & I do have a lot of their organizational baskets.
I was using 1 of the rectangle baskets to bring to shows & I would put my cookbooks & some smaller tools in them it was just easier to bring to a show.
I've also used some baskets for my door prize basket.

have fun shopping :)

Ooh, those are good ideas! I'm trying to decide whether or not to have a show. Hmmm. I'd love some stuff. Maybe I'll do a catalog show or online show.

I have been bringing the new sauces and oil seasonings. I put a little sauce in each of the bamboo snack bowls and make the oil seasonings and serve with the beer bread. Selling tons of beer bread and the oil seasoning and selling at least one bottle of the sauces at each show.

I need to try the new oil dipping seasoning..... I LOVE my wasabi sauce....I actually ran out of it for my pulled pork & I used the pineapple rum sauce it was really good!!!
