Discover the Surprising Increase in Traffic on Our Website - Learn More Now!

Click For Summary
Visitor traffic on the site has increased, potentially due to discussions on another platform about the site's benefits. Visitors to the site can access most content except for 'Behind the Apron' posts and the signatures of members. They can view topics and the beginnings of posts but cannot interact or see who posted them. The platform has gained 13 new members within the month. Users note that many directors are hesitant to pay a nominal fee to join despite the site's growth. Access to another site, CS, has become restricted, with visitors unable to see private threads, further driving interest in the current site. Guests on CS can only view a limited number of pages before needing to register, while guests on the current site can browse freely, albeit with some content limitations.

Anyone notice there are a lot more visitors on this site?

Maybe (I don't know since I'm not over there anymore) it's the talk from CS about how great it is here? What exactly can visitors see?

What exactly can visitors see?

My understanding is visitors on DCS can see everything we can see except for the Behind the Apron posts and the signatures of the other posts. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I think they can see the topics and beginings for the posts over here, except the behind the apron of course.

We've also had 13 new members this month alone.
Yes- they can see the posts but not who's posting and not Behind the Apron. There are also a lot of ads that show and of course they can't post.
It amazes me that for $.83 a month directors would balk at joining our site.

I just think the number of visitors is kind of funny. I think some of the Directors not resubscribing to CS has people more curious about DCS.

I think some folks on CS saw the "I'm off CS" title and it piqued their interest. Then Janet posted on CS about a few of us leaving and that got it started...

When I go over to CS, I can't see ANYTHING now. Every thread reads PRIVATE and when I click on it, it says that I don't have access to see anything. That's why I asked what guests can see here because I can't see anything over there now.

Well that's just not right! If others can see US...

I just talked to ChefAnn and she told me what the problem might be. Haven't had a chance to get over there to see if her solution will work. But it's probably for the best. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with her that I needed to be making booking calls!

You might need to renew.

Let me clear things up. At CS, visitors can only view 5 pages. After 5 pages they must register. A member who is logged in but hasn't paid the fee will not be able to view anything, it's a sort of purgatory.

Here guests can view all they want, but get half of the posts chopped off mid sentance (nothing in behind the apron). And for further anonymity no guests can see who posted what message and signatures are invisible to guests.
