What was the title of your best workshop, who were the presenters and why was it the best?
 
Ooh, that's a tough one. I know which one was my worst one, but this thread is supposed to be positive. ;) (I've never given negative feedback on a workshop until this one.)I had:
Gratitude Recruiting with Pat Pearson (guest speaker). There's been a lot of mixed reviews of this workshop. It definitely wasn't the typical workshop, because it focused more on the internals of recruiting. I enjoyed it, however, probably more than I've enjoyed other, very popular speakers that HO has brought in.Be a Master Seller with Anne McMillan and Linda Bowles (LB is HO, and was there to introduce and give a small amount of info). Anne gave some great cross-selling word choices that I could totally use - I usually forget to cross-sell. She also had a list of 20 phrases that sell, and most of them work for products, booking and recruiting. I'll start a thread with them.Abundant Bookings with Cherie White and Tracy King. Cherie was good. Unfortunately, Tracy did most of the talking.Leading New Consultants to Success with Doina Heinz and Cindy Sparling. They focused (as I'm sure they were requested to) on the Guide to Coaching New Consultants, which is available on supply order. But they did have a good question to ask new recruits to gauge their interest and commitment level: If there were no obstacles in your way, what would you want from your business and what would you calendar look like?
 
More feedback later ... but this is one I don't need my notebook to answer:BE A MASTER SELLER by Ferialie Yan, whose name I have mis-spelled. This is the first woman EVER to sell $2 million and who INVENTED host coaching! She gave so many good tips that I hope and pray this is available on a supply order or on the web, because most of us were so caught up that we coudln't take notes that fast!
 
my best workshop was Movers and Shakers with Morfia Schwarz & Deena Hiltbrand. Even though I was suffering from a migraine. I got ALOT of information that I will implement. We just moved to the Boston area about 3.5 months ago.
 
I also took Mover's and Shaker's with Morfia and Deena! And I have to agree it was probably my favorite. I thought the information presented was great, because it didn't concentrate on JUST moving. I haven't moved in about a year and a half, but we're military so we NEVER know when it will happen, that's why I took it. But my business has been in a slump, and the information presented will help me to re-start. I really enjoyed their enthusiasm (especially since it was Day 3!) and the more casual atmosphere of the class!
 
My very favorite was Master Recruiters Tell All with Gillian (Eisenberg) Grant, and Robin House.
I had so many "AHA" moments in this class - I could totally see why they are master recruiters...and I am still an FD! That class is mostly where my new plans for success are coming from!
 
Phone Courage with Helen Begenerous was my ultimate BEST! She didn't make me feel bad about not doing it in the past, but gave me great motivation for doing it in the future!

My favorite was "Be a Master Seller" with David Meenan!

There were mixed reviews from my cluster about the "Gratitude Recruiting" too! It was okay, just not "WOW!"

Anne's workshop was incredible, I thought. Very, very informative and helpful!!
I was hoping that I was in Cheri's Abundant Bookings workshop, but wasn't:(....but, she is my ED!!!:D:D

She's in my SED's cluster and she is the nicest person! I was in line with some other new directors and we were taking about what to wear for our 'walk' and they started talking about her and how they couldn't believe that she walked the stage in her flip flops. When I told them that she hd just had surgery on both of her feet they felt kinda bad about dissing her.

Makes me reflect a litle on all the people I've made fun of walking stage in bad shoes now - maybe they had other problems that forced them to wear those (well, not all of them :rolleyes:) At least Cheri's were cute!

Wanna hear a cute story about Cheri? When she first started PC she would have people ask her how to become a consultant. She had no interest in recruiting at that time and wanted all the bookings for herself so she told all of them that the company wasn't hiring right now...good thing she figured it out - just look where she's at today!

I'll admit that when I saw Cheri in line in the ladies' room, I was mentally dissing her for wearing flip flops with such a dressy dress (it was the bejeweled one she wore for promoting to ED). But then she mentioned the surgery, and I felt bad for even thinking it. And she was obviously in pain when she walked.
 
Yes, she was in pain. She was in a wheelchair for everything else. Even had her own wheelchair chauffer!
 
My phone courage one with Susie Lite was great---love her!
Also, my top recruiters tell all with Michael Reeves & Debra Raner was awesome too. Michael was so funny & genuine.

one of my cluster mates was in that one and she loved it.
 
My two favorites were...."Be A Master Seller" with Penney Parkes (I may have spelled that wrong). She talked very, very fast, but was very insightful and got a lot out of the workshop.
Also, "Win/Win Host Coaching" with Terri Speer was my "A-HA" moment. It really made me realize that I need to go back to some of the basics to grow my business!!!
 
That is a toughy!! I am torn between my Phone courage class with Doreen Grass and My Master Sellers class with Ferile Yan.
 
Master Seller with Feriale Yan ..... definatly, def,def definatly. So many ah ha's and motivation. She nailed me with what's been holding me back in my business and I had to address it, I have now moved passed it and she gave ALOT of word choices and product information it was the most insiping workshop I have ever been to and since being back I have really seen a difference in my shows and recruited 2 Consultants
 
Wow, great job. You didn't by any chance take notes did you?:angel:
 
A few ket things she talked about, take 15-20 minutes a day and pick a product to research and get to know. People will trust you more when you know what you're talking about. Listen to find out their needs and talk about how many uses one product has. My big ah ha was when she said "Everyone needs something, why not provide it and be proud of it"
 
I am probably going to get some "boos" or backlash for saying this, but I was not totally impressed with conference at all. I was so excited and felt like it was such a let down in some aspects.
My favorite workshop was Phone Courage with Suzie Lite ( is that her name??) It was pretty much the same info she talked about at mini regional but it was so good to hear it again and I really like her, plus she gave out good worksheets. She say next to me on the bus ride back to the hotel so I got to chat with her a bit. I was surprised to see her on our bus.
Cooking Shows Live in Action would have been good if Matt King would have slowed down so you could understand what he was saying and I am not the only one who has that opinion. I have never seen someone talk so darn fast in my life.
I had to crack up in Abundant Bookings b/c one lady got up to the microphone and said she had been watching the time and wanted to know when we were going to learn anything about bookings. Was anyone in that class?? Everyone was trying not to crack up. I didn't get much out of it, the workshop was rushed and not very structured.
How to be a master seller with Jolene Bushery was interesting and I probably got the most out of that class. The thing is every consultant does things different so one is saying this way works best and the next one says do it this way, then another one says do it this way. I guess you gotta do what works best for you.

I actually roomed with Debra Raner and one of her downline consultants, plus my director's sister director who I traveled with. Debra was so funny. She kept saying that nobody was going to pay attention to what she had to say because Michael had had more recruits than she had (only 2 more, geez!). She only lives about 35-40 minutes from me. I have been to a meeting of hers when she had a speaker on Life Coaching. I wish I had more time to talk to her and ask her for some tips, but we were not in the room much. We did have a drink at Kitty Oshea's ( sp?) but it was too loud, and I was too tired.

If anybody has notes from that class, I would love to have them. [email protected] :D

I think so, but it didn't show you were in my workshop and I had met you by then and didn't see you. There were questions in that one and I think that is why the workshop was so far behind. We were in the back b/c my clustermate had a wheelchair since we had to trek all the way over to the southside of McCormick.
