I went to a baby shower today. They had little candy pacifiers on each of the tables. They had used 2 white Lifesavers. They used white icing to put them together. Basically one was standing in the middle of the other (like a T). Then, they attached an upright jellybean to the flat Lifesaver (on top of the T) with more white icing. It looked just like a pacifier. They tied a pink ribbon to the handle of the pacifier, since Janae is having a girl (Addison June, due July 3 and already nicknamed June Bug).

It was just such a neat Idea I had to share.

They also sent everyone home with a homemade cinnamon roll. It was packaged in a box with a tag that said, "From Aaron & Janae's little bun in the oven."

So are life savers like Polo Mints?

Wow! I never thought about Lifesavers being unknown in other parts of the world!

One of the best commercials ever...."lifesavers - a part of living..." w/ the little girl/boy (? don't remember which) watching a sunset w/ Daddy, and then whispering "do it again, Daddy". (all while sharing a pack of Lifesavers!)

I've made these before for my best friend's baby shower. I just used a glue gun and told people not to eat them. It was easier to work with and lasted longer. (Used again at another shower) Use the pink jellybeans for a girl baby, and blue for a boy (obviously)--it's really cute! We played a game w/ it. Everyone wears one of these necklaces. Anytime someone says the word "baby" the person who caught them gets to take their necklace. The person with the most at the end of the party wins a prize.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials do I need to make DIY candy pacifier favors?

To create DIY candy pacifier favors, you will need clear plastic pacifier molds, candy melts or chocolate, lollipop sticks, and any small candies or treats you want to fill the pacifiers with, such as gummy bears or chocolate-covered candies. You may also want decorative ribbon or tags for presentation.

How do I make the candy pacifiers?

To make the candy pacifiers, melt the candy melts according to package instructions. Pour the melted candy into the pacifier molds, filling them halfway. Insert a lollipop stick into each mold and let them set until fully hardened. Once set, you can fill the pacifiers with small candies and then seal them with more melted candy before allowing them to harden again.

Can I customize the colors of the candy pacifiers?

Yes! You can customize the colors of the candy pacifiers by using different colored candy melts. For a girl baby shower, consider using pink, purple, or pastel colors. You can also mix colors to create a marbled effect for a more unique look.

How many candy pacifiers should I make for the baby shower?

The number of candy pacifiers you should make depends on the number of guests attending the baby shower. A good rule of thumb is to prepare one favor per guest, plus a few extra in case of unexpected attendees or for display purposes. If you have 20 guests, making 25-30 favors would be ideal.

What is the best way to package the candy pacifiers for guests?

To package the candy pacifiers, you can use clear cellophane bags tied with decorative ribbon or place them in small boxes. Adding a personalized tag with the baby shower date or a sweet message can enhance the presentation and make the favors more memorable for your guests.
