IF say there are 24 - you could have each child be assigned to a month - then take it to fedex/kinkos (discount card!) and have them shrink the pictures to 5x7 so two pictures fit on each page and make a calendar for her - memories to last thru school and beyond -

Oh no the Martha in me is trying to come out - LOL
Just thinking of the things I did with my kids teachers -
Memory books with a picture of each kid and a wish for the teacher's holiday and new year - in their own words and writing.

However, just popped in my head...perhaps the memory book would be a great gift at the end of the year. Each child could write their favorite memory of the year and illustrate it. How cute would that be???

I was thinking about buying a plain canvas totebag and having the children put their hand prints on them and then I'd write their name next to them - maybe have the handprints in several colors. I want to do someting personalized from the children.
Some thoughtful class gift ideas for a 1st grade teacher include personalized items like a custom tote bag, a heartfelt thank-you card signed by all the students, a gift card to a local coffee shop, or classroom supplies that the teacher may need. You could also consider a group gift, such as a spa day or a nice bottle of wine.
To organize a class gift, you can create a sign-up sheet or use a group messaging app to communicate with other parents. Decide on a budget and a gift idea that everyone agrees on. Collect contributions from parents and designate one person to purchase the gift on behalf of the class.
Yes, it is generally considered appropriate to give a gift to a teacher at the end of the school year as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. It’s a nice way to acknowledge their efforts in helping your child grow and learn throughout the year.
When giving a class gift, it’s best to avoid overly personal gifts, such as clothing or jewelry, as these may make the teacher uncomfortable. Additionally, avoid gifts that could be seen as extravagant or inappropriate, such as cash. Stick to thoughtful and practical items that show appreciation.
Absolutely! Involving students in creating the class gift can make it more meaningful. They can contribute by writing notes, drawing pictures, or helping to decorate a card. This not only adds a personal touch but also teaches students about gratitude and teamwork.
