Does anyone encolse a self adressed stamped env when doing a catalog show, for the host to mail OOF and money back to you?

I have in the past, I also want my catalogs back.

Nope. I usually close the show in person.

I usually close in person too... If the host lives/works far from me... I try to meet somewhere in the middle...

I have a catalog closing today... and I hope she doesn't want the host bonus.... I NEED A TRIFLE!! :)

I prefer doing it in person also, but this is an out of stater, my first. Not sure how to handle it.

Oh well then... yes, I would do the envelope... maybe a big envelope and ask for her to put the catalogs back too

I usually setup a time for me to meet with the person to close out the show. This way I know that I will get all of the catalogs back. However, if this is not an option I would probably send a self addressed stamped envelope. The less the host has to do the better.

I either close in person or over the phone. I do NOT want my catalogs back -- by letting the host/guests keep them I've gotten several post show orders.

No. I close over the phone and the host reads me the orders and I key them into PP while we're talking (I love my headset--you should get one!). She collects checks made out to HER and then gives me her debit/credit card # to pay for all the orders.

I tell her to leave my catalogs in waiting rooms or give them to her friends to help me build my business. I've never had a problem with that. I am not attached to my catalogs--they are business cards, really, and I give them away liberally.

pc ri lisaI also try and close the show in person but I have in the past either done it through email or on the phone. I am pretty adaptable and do whatever works best for the host. I have also typed up a letter so that my hosts know exactly what needs to be done. It answers a ton of their questions. I ALWAYS leave my catalogs. I find it is the cheapest way to advertise.

Thanks everyone. I really like the over the phone (I have a headset  ).

I have done 3 out of state parties....and I have had them email me the orders and then call me with their order or if you have MSN instant messaging that works great too....then I give them a grand total and they send me a check.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Catalog Show in Pampered Chef?

A Catalog Show is a type of party where the host shares the Pampered Chef catalog with friends and family, allowing them to place orders directly from the catalog without needing to attend a physical gathering. This format is convenient for those who may not be able to meet in person.

How does the Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope work for Host Reimbursement?

The Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) is provided by the consultant to the host to facilitate the return of any necessary paperwork or orders. Once the show is complete, the host can use the SASE to send back any required documents to ensure they receive their host rewards and reimbursements promptly.

What should I include in the Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope?

The Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope should include any order forms, payment information, and any other necessary documents related to the Catalog Show. It’s important to ensure that everything is filled out correctly to avoid delays in processing the host's rewards.

How long does it take for the host to receive their reimbursement?

The timeframe for the host to receive their reimbursement can vary, but typically it takes about 2-4 weeks after the consultant receives the completed paperwork in the SASE. This allows time for processing orders and calculating host rewards.

Can the host track their orders from a Catalog Show?

Yes, hosts can track their orders through the Pampered Chef website or by contacting their consultant. The consultant can provide updates on the status of the orders and any host rewards that are being processed.
