Early this evening about 4:30 I started calling contacts that I should have called long ago. I couldn't believe the 100% possitive responses that I got from everyone.
I do need to work on getting bookings narrowed down to date instead of a certain part of the month.
I can't wait to make some more calls. This is what my business needed.

PS Happy Easter everyone!

Glad to hear you reached people. I'm getting tired of leaving messages!

I'm proud of you, Bobby. Glad you got such a positive response.

My biggest tip on booking the days you want is to use sticky notes. Mark the first two weeks with your open show dates. Then I ask what day of the week would work best for them. It's easy to work when you have specific dates marked like that.

One of the mp2 downloads tells you to first ask what month is good for you, then what day of the week, then what time & then you can give them a couple of options from there. That makes me feel alot more comfortable b/c it is a slow work up to pin point a day with them instead of being wide open "when do you want to have your show". hth

Bracketology is great. That's asking someone to choose between two things, and two things only. April or May?
Weeknight or weekend?
The 19th or 26?
6:30 or 7:00?It really helps people make a decision.

I agree giving them 2 options really works. I have to get better about booking at my shows!! Even if they want to book 6-8 months out!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are overdue calls in the context of direct sales?

Overdue calls refer to follow-up calls that have not been made within the recommended time frame after an initial contact or event. In direct sales, these calls are crucial for maintaining relationships with potential customers and ensuring that leads do not go cold.

How can overdue calls help boost my Pampered Chef business?

Making overdue calls can significantly boost your Pampered Chef business by re-engaging potential customers, reminding them of your offerings, and providing an opportunity to address any questions or concerns they may have. This proactive approach can lead to increased bookings and sales.

What should I say during an overdue call to ensure a positive response?

During an overdue call, start by expressing genuine interest in the person’s experience with Pampered Chef products. Use a friendly tone, acknowledge the time that has passed, and ask if they have any questions or need assistance. Highlight any new products or promotions that may interest them to encourage a positive response.

How can I track overdue calls and their outcomes effectively?

To track overdue calls, maintain a detailed log of your contacts, including dates of initial interactions and follow-up calls. Use a spreadsheet or a customer relationship management (CRM) tool to record outcomes, such as bookings made or feedback received, to analyze your follow-up effectiveness over time.

What are some common objections I might face during overdue calls, and how should I handle them?

Common objections may include concerns about pricing, timing, or product relevance. Address these objections by listening actively, empathizing with their concerns, and providing solutions or alternatives.
