You are rockin', Becky. Good for you! And thanks for the reminder about the salad. My kids have been asking for it, and I have a lot of romaine lettuce to use up before we leave on Saturday.

Okay - I'm not so tired now, so I wanted to share a little more about the show last night. It was a lot of fun - despite everything that happened!

First - there were supposed to be 9-10 guests there - ended up with 4. One girl went into early labor that day, so she, along with 2 of the other guests (mother and sister) were at the hospital instead. One guest called after I got there to say she was sick, and then the neighbor stopped over to grab a catalog - she and her DH both have bronchitis.....

So, we were in a little kitchen/dining area about the size of my closet. Anytime anyone wanted to get up from the table, everyone else had to stand so they could get by. Don't know where we would have put 10 people! But they were all having fun using the knives, the spinner, the chopper, the UM.....it was easy to just pass things around and let everyone try them out.

Then came the mustard!  I was showing the easy adj. meas. spoon, and went to squirt in the mustard - and the mustard bottle exploded all over the guest sitting closest to me!   (note to self - from now on - put the mustard in the EAMS before the show!) I just about died! I apologized the whole time I was trying to help her clean up - and everyone else was joking and laughing about it......

I gave her free shipping on her order! Her friend booked a show for June(after telling me that she NEVER has parties, and she came to the show determined to not book one), and as they were leaving, the mustard coated guest said "this was a lot of fun, you did a great job! If I ever had a party, I would have you do it....but I'm not having one!" I just told her that those were famous last words - and that in June, when I see her again, I may just have a deal she can't refuse!:D

So - low attendance, a show inside a phone booth, a mustard explosion, 2 bookings, a hot recruit lead.....and FUN was had by all! What an evening! I'm still laughing about it this morning - and how many people can say that about their job? I LOVE:love:  my job!

I might be posting just for myself! Where is everyone?

I was home this evening - DH is sick...so I thought, hey, if I'm home on a Friday evening, other people might be too....and I started calling.

I did get a hold of 3 people - 2 were strictly customer care calls, and the third resulted in another booking for MAY! Whooo Hooo! I'm now up to a big whoppin' 3 shows for May! At least they are all in the first full week if May...so I will still have time to book some more shows towards the end....

And my show for tomorrow is with a young single girl - she is expecting 10-12 people, and is seriously thinking about signing! Whooo Hooo again! Here's hoping she has several bookings and I can use that as the final straw to get her to sign!

Yea for you Janet!

I don't know how you fit it all in - you are amazing!

did my show tonight. I'm a terrible host! But I did get 1 booking for June, and a fundraiser for a new youth non-profit group home. They are having a HUGE fundraising concert with craft exhibitors, so I mentioned that it would be a great way to kickoff a PC fundraiser. So, I'll be getting a table there in addition to the regular fundraising thing too. Also, she is doing the show in June to get products for the home's kitchen! Yay!!!

YEA Amy! I have found that fundraising tables are a great way to get bookings.

I'm a terrible host too. I hate having Direct Sales parties of any kind at my house. Strange that I love my job so much, isn't it!

Had no contacts yesterday, because I was ill.

Today, I had a show. There were only 3 guests plus the host in attendance. One of those guests was the host's daughter (or DIL?) and it was held at her house. The two guests were her friends (and another mother/daughter team at that). Yesterday, when I made my call to the host, she had no clue as to who was going to show up, although I coached her to make reminder calls, and she had been a consultant in the past. Sales are currently at $94, with 1 June booking. The host and her daughter are going to work together to get some outside orders.

I hoped to make some more calls this evening, but instead of feeling ill to my stomach, like yesterday, I am now dealing with an awful headache. Back on the phone on Monday.

I didn't make any calls today other than to close out a show from last weekend (over $800:D :D )!!!
But I did some emails, 1 was an order for my mystery host show that I did last night.

I have not done my 3-2-1 yet. My first 2 shows just finished so tomorrow I am going to make some phone calls. I hope I do ok. The products have arrived but the hostesses still have them so its not an out of the box call. just a "your products are in, and i will call you again when you get them so that i can be sure everything is good" i want to ask if anyones interested in booking but i have not done that yet so i am kind of nervous

So, I went to church today - no catalog tote, no PC bag, no logo wear, nothing. This is my day off, I don't do PC on Sunday usually.Anyway, a lady who watching my DD for a year about 6 years ago walks up and says, "I heard you do Pampered Chef, right?" Long story short, she wants to do a PC shower for her daughter's HS graduation on June 1st because her daughter just moved out into an apartment last week. Also her daughter is getting married Aug. '09 so I get a registry and shower for next year out of this too.Funny this is I KNOW that this lady has had plenty of PC parties with other people over the years...and my recruiter goes to my church and trust me, EVERYONE knows she does PC.It was a nice surprise! I'm excited! :) Now to think how the best way to do the shower/party...I told her I'd give her options on how we can invite. (...and she made sure to say she is hoping people buy stuff for themselves too!!!!)

no calls for me today aside from team calls. Just found out that one of my newest recruits is $60 away from qualifying and is bringing a recruit lead to our cluster meeting on Tuesday!! She is still in her first 30 days, so she is really excited and I'm in awe! I knew she was going to do great, but she is on FIRE!!:sing: :sing: :sing: She has plans on a few others that she is going to work on signing before her 30 days is up. :D

Wonderful Amy - you'll be on your way to the next level before you know it!!!!

Congratulations on building such a strong team so fast!

Made my 3 contacts for today, but again, no significant outcome. I am thinking I should be getting a booking soon, after having so many NO's!

I did speak with my latest recruit (signed in Feb). She has a fundraiser coming up next weekend, and then 3 more shows before her 90 days are up!

I also finally heard from a MIA host for my April 19th host. I have been waiting for her guest list. She confirmed that the show is still on, but her e-mail isn't working so well, so she is going to mail the invites.

I do have a booth at a Children's trade show this weekend. I am hoping to get some good leads.

How is everyone else doing with 3-2-1?

awww, thanks Janet!! you have not idea how much the encouragement here keeps me going!

no contacts for me today. had a field trip with my DS today, to the zoo in the rain! yuck! So when I got home I bundled up on the couch with a blanket, turned on the fire and crashed. Then we had scouts!
I'm exhausted!

I'm finally checking in! Tax season is really kicking my rear this year. So I have decided that I am going to pick up the phone 3 times to make calls a day. I'm not going to stress over live contacts or not. I just want to keep the momentum of actually making the calls going until after the 15th, then I will worry about the live contacts.

Good news though. I got an email from someone who is looking to do a show. I'm not sure how she got my info though. She said that she went through the main website and got referred to the same person each time, and that person didn't get back to her on three different occasions! I'm wondering if it was my director who just lost her directorship this month. Supposedly she is still doing shows, but she is being "picky" about the ones she does. So I emailed this person back saying that I was sorry she was having such a hard time finding a consultant but that I would love to help her out! Yeah! I hope it turns into a show!

had my team meeting tonight, so no calls for me today.

Darn! I only made two calls today. Had to leave a message for one. The other went really good. I did an OOB call to a guest from an end of February show. She seemed happy to hear from me and we ended up having a 10 minute conversation. Her daughters neighbor is a consultant, but she hasn't heard from her in a while. She may want to do a fall show. Also, her other daughter is getting married next year, so I am sending her a brochure on the wedding registry. Since the show she went to was with the old catty I am going to send her a new one as well.

I made 2 contacts from my fair the other day, but nada. I was a little distracted today I will post in another thread. My fair on sat was not as good as I want, but some possibilities. There is a lady who is bilingual who might host a show and I offered the opportunity she turned it down, but we will see. Another lady wants to do a woman's fair and asked if I would be interested. I of course said yes! I will let you know if anything else happens.

I haven't been able to do my contacts. After I got done with my show on Thursday night I got to my car to see I had 6 missed calls. My dad died. I will post 3-2-1 results when I am ready to get back on the phone again. I had my director cancell my show that I was supposed to have Sunday but I will be doing my other show this Thursday. Wish me luck.

Ellen I am so sorry for your loss. ((HUGS))My prayers are w/ you and your family!!!!

Ellen - so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Wishing you comfort and strength in the difficult days ahead of you.

Ellen - I started a Prayer Request thread for you - check it out later.

On 3-2-1 - I have a show tonight...one guest had to cancel (see Prayer Request thread on missing person). Still have 7 coming hopefully - we had 3-4 inches of snow last night so the roads are bad today - icy.I'm all packed but forgot to get host information and stuff like that together so I may have to book shows and send it later! YIKES! I only have 1 recruiting CD with but I did put the come join me flyer in all the folders...anyway, I'll have my 3+ contacts tonight!

Ellen, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
