SUMMARY

Sharing business goals with customers significantly enhances engagement and support. Specificity in goal-setting is crucial; for instance, stating a target of recruiting 10 people and achieving $6000 in sales monthly provides clarity. When looking at advice about how to boost my business, one thought that keeps coming up is sharing my goals. The idea being that people like to help people, and when you tell your customers your goal and ask them for their help, they will give it.

My question is how detailed should it be? If my goal is Disney World, how specific should I be with what I need to do to get there?

Do I just tell them I'm working towards Disney World, or do I tell them I need to recruit 10 people and sell $6000 worth each month until the end of the year? Or something in between? How about tracking my progress on my PWS for people to see?

Thoughts? Ideas?

This is a great question. I love the idea. My goal isn't Disney (I know I'm probably the only one). I'm just not sure how to state a goal like one that involves how many shows a month etc....Love to see what you all think...

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. I wonder if it would be best to be vague ("I'm trying to increase my sales and add as many people as possible to my team") until someone asks for details. Sometimes when people see the bar set high they thing that their $20 order can't possibly help.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective ways to share my business goals with customers?

Sharing your business goals can be done through various channels. Start by using social media platforms to post updates about your goals and progress. Consider hosting virtual or in-person events where you can discuss your aspirations directly with customers. Additionally, sending out newsletters or personalized emails can help keep your customers informed and engaged with your journey.

How can I encourage customer support for my business goals?

To encourage customer support, make sure to communicate your goals clearly and passionately. Explain how their support can make a difference in achieving those goals. You can also create incentives, such as discounts or exclusive offers, for customers who help you reach specific milestones. Building a community around your business can foster loyalty and encourage customers to support your endeavors.

What role does storytelling play in sharing my goals?

Storytelling is a powerful tool for connecting with your audience. By sharing personal anecdotes about your journey, challenges, and successes, you can create an emotional connection with your customers. This makes your goals more relatable and encourages them to support you. Use stories to illustrate why your goals matter and how they align with the values of your customers.

How can I measure the impact of customer support on my business goals?

To measure the impact of customer support, track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, customer engagement, and feedback. Use surveys or polls to gather customer opinions on your goals and their willingness to support them. Analyzing social media interactions and participation in events can also provide insights into how well your customers are responding to your initiatives.

What are some common challenges when sharing goals, and how can I overcome them?

Common challenges include lack of engagement from customers or difficulty in articulating your goals. To overcome these, ensure that your communication is clear and compelling. Be open to feedback and adjust your approach based on customer responses. Additionally, consider collaborating with other consultants or influencers to broaden your reach and gain more visibility for your goals.
