ChefBeckyD said:From the Interactive Shows DVD - the demo with Jillian section - I pass around a product (2 if its a big crowd) and tell them that every time I say the magic word, they have to pass it to the person next to them. The word I use is "incredible". I use products I've gotten from supply order, the outlet, and from hosting my own shows. This keeps people listening, and attentive.Plus, they are having fun with it - trying to trip me up and get me to say the word, or harassing their friends for not passing it when they hear the word....it provides a lot of laughter and makes the show fun!
Preparation is key for a successful show. Make sure you have all your products organized and ready to demonstrate. Review your recipes and practice any techniques you'll be showcasing. Set up your display area in advance to ensure everything is easily accessible during the show.
Engagement is crucial for keeping your guests interested. Ask open-ended questions to encourage participation and invite guests to share their cooking experiences. Incorporate interactive elements, such as taste tests or hands-on activities, to make the show more dynamic and enjoyable.
Highlight the unique features and benefits of each product as you demonstrate them. Use storytelling to connect the products to real-life scenarios, showing how they can solve common cooking challenges. Additionally, consider offering special promotions or discounts on featured items to encourage purchases.
Be open and approachable when guests ask questions. If you know the answer, respond confidently and provide additional information if relevant. If you're unsure, it's okay to admit it and offer to follow up with the answer after the show. This builds trust and shows your commitment to customer service.
After the show, reach out to your guests with a thank-you message, expressing your appreciation for their attendance. Include any relevant information about products they showed interest in and remind them of any promotions. Following up can help convert interest into sales and foster long-term relationships.
