The forum discussion centers around the appropriateness of wearing capri pants to a conference, with participants sharing their experiences and opinions. Many attendees believe that capris can be considered business casual, especially in warmer climates, as long as they are made from suitable materials like khaki rather than denim. The consensus is that comfort should take precedence over strict adherence to dress codes, with a significant number of women expected to wear capris at the event. Participants emphasize the importance of looking presentable while prioritizing comfort due to the conference's active nature.
PREREQUISITESThis discussion is beneficial for conference attendees, event organizers, and professionals navigating business casual dress codes, particularly those in warmer climates or less formal industries.

And I'm all about wearing capris too....it's too darn hot for pants! I'm wearing some one day, and I'm actually bringing 2 skirts to wear the other 2 days. Which is big for me, cause I'm a jeans & t-shirt kinda girl!

I am short too...maybe that's why my "walking shorts" look more like capris on me and my capris look like flood pants....etteluap70PC said:I'm bringing all capris, well I do have one pair of pants. I am short though so alot of my capris still come down to my ankles..
CROCS!!! I am bringing those with the small socks (peds) that you can barely see.Kathytnt said:I am not that short (5'5) but have a tendency to be shorter from the torso down. I buy petite jeans and they are just the right length with no hemming. My capris look more like cropped pants. I might bring them for casual evening but I don't have any good shoes to wear with them other than tennies. My cute wedge sandals won't work because I think they will bother my feet with so much walking and I lost a toe nail from training (half-marathon) and don't want to shoe off my mini-nail. They grow back in but take forever!

and about being short an wearing "flood pants" ....I am too tall, and can't find pants long enough....at least you can hem them! It is much harder to add material!....and my mom and I can try on the same pants and they are short capris on me, and flood pants on her, we are pretty funny in dressing rooms when we try to figure out what they are!
