if so, are you having trouble with getting to your homepage this morning?

I am #192 in line for a service rep online chat....thought I might get a faster answer here!

I have Comcast, but I never use their home page. In fact, DH and I don't even remember what our Comcast ID and password are.

how can I get to my emails without going there??? I don't use Outlook express anymore.....is there a sneaky way to get to them since I can bring up everything else??

I don't use the Comcast email account. DH and I have our own domain, and we use that for our email. We only ever get spam in our Comcast email, and haven't even checked that in a year (because we don't remember what it is). You should be able to use an email client like Outlook Express or Thunderbird to get your Comcast email. You'll need to enter the account info: email address, password, etc.

phhhtt on that....I will be gone most of the morning and will just wait to see what the afternoon holds! I am hoping that since there were that many folks ahead of me, there is a problem on their end that they will now be resolving! Thanks Ann!

That would be my guess, too (that they're having a problem and that's why the wait is so long). In a related note, I saw a report on the news yesterday with the results of a survey about customer service. Comcast was one of the bottom 5, as indicated by survey respondents. AOL came in dead last. And it was about all customer service, not just ISPs.

Comcast is my ISP, but I use Mozilla Thunderbird for email. I also use Mozilla Firefox for internet. Mozilla is free, so check it out!

I have comcast and cannot get to the home page or email page either. (My PC mail is gmail but I like to keep my personal mail separate).ETA: My incredimail program is accessing the comcast mail ok so any suggestions above to use an external program should work.

same here. No luck with concast homepage. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. It happens pretty often.

I just called and it said they are experiencing technical difficulties and are trying to resolve the issue. I had another question but since there are so many people on hold I guess I will hang up!

Hope it is fixed soon!

Gee, that's no shock. I affectionately call them ComCRAP. When we moved, they SHUT OFF our service instead of moving our service. They refused to come out to restart it, even when they missed an appointment. Good thing I was able to pick up someone's wireless and get online to do my business. I had switched to gmail for my business email at that point, which saved me.Unfortunately, ComCRAP is my only choice for high speed in my neighborhood right now.

I'm so not happy with Comcast, but we are very limited in this area as to ISP's for High Speed Internet. And, thanks to Michigan law, it's our only choice for Cable. I did refuse their phone service however....but continue to get regular calls offering me a "great bundle deal".

Im glad I looked through all the posts, because I was about to post the same thing.

Up until this issue, I've never had a Comcast problem specifically with their internet stuff. I hope it's resolved soon too!

We have Comcast but I don't use their homepage thingy. I don't use the email addy that we have with them at all. I have 3 yahoo mail accounts and a gmail accounts... that's enough for me! LOL...

you can get on only to check email at this point, which is good enough for me.

For about 5 minutes I was able to access email and the homepage, but now email is gone again. Grrrr. At least I was able to check it and see if there was anything urgent in there. FRUSTRATION!!:grumpy:

I was able to access the comcast.com website and the comcast.net web page- I hope that you are able to get access to them today!

well, when I got home from a very productive prayer group (2 possible recruits AND lots of prayers for my dad!), all was OK with Comcast.

I have never had a problem with them for cable or high speed, so I can't speak to the customer service issue!
