Hello all. I hope everyone had a great 4th! I sure did. I started out the weekend looking for a dessert to make and came across the All American Celebration cake thread here and decided to try it (I love berries & angel food cake).

Well that recipe lead me to the Grilled Italian Sausages with Confetti Vegetable Relish recipe and the Picnic Potato Salad recipe and I just had to share with all of you . . . all 3 recipes are great!

We BBQ'd at my parents yesterday and it was great. Even my dad, who has been slow to accept PC, loved everything. So if you are looking for a great weekend menu for your family, I would suggest this one.

And the best part, the entire meal is tax deductible - I love "practicing" PC recipes!

They sound yummy, I have tried the dessert before, it was VERY good.

Hi there! I'm so glad you had a great 4th of July weekend and that you found some delicious recipes to try out. The All American Celebration cake sounds amazing - I love anything with berries and angel food cake too. And the Grilled Italian Sausages with Confetti Vegetable Relish and Picnic Potato Salad sound like the perfect addition to a BBQ. It's always great when even those who are skeptical about PC can't resist the yummy food. And hey, the fact that it's tax deductible is just an added bonus! Thanks for sharing your experience and these recipes with us. Happy cooking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some essential tools from Pampered Chef for grilling sausages at a BBQ?

For grilling sausages, essential tools include the Grill Pan, which provides even heat distribution, and the Instant-Read Thermometer to ensure your sausages are cooked to the perfect temperature. Additionally, the BBQ Turner is great for flipping and serving sausages with ease.

What types of sausages are best for grilling at a 4th of July BBQ?

Popular choices for grilling include bratwurst, Italian sausages, and hot dogs. You can also experiment with chicken or turkey sausages for a lighter option. Look for high-quality sausages with natural casings for the best grilling experience.

How can I enhance the flavor of grilled sausages?

Enhance the flavor by marinating the sausages in your favorite spices or sauces before grilling. You can also grill them with peppers and onions for added flavor. Using a BBQ rub or seasoning blend from Pampered Chef can also elevate the taste.

What side dishes pair well with grilled sausages for a BBQ?

Great side dishes include classic coleslaw, potato salad, corn on the cob, and baked beans. You can also serve grilled vegetables or a fresh garden salad to complement the sausages and add variety to your BBQ spread.

How can I ensure my sausages are cooked safely on the grill?

To ensure sausages are cooked safely, use an Instant-Read Thermometer to check that they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for pork and beef sausages, and 165°F (74°C) for poultry sausages. Always avoid cutting into the sausages while grilling, as this can cause juices to escape and lead to dryness.
