Adobe Tech Question- Digital Id Password Recovery?

I do not know how it got "set" in the first place, but I was trying to digitally "sign" a PDF/Adobe document. It wants a password, and I have no clue what it is!

The first and only time I "signed" a document in a PDF, it didn't ask for a password, and I do not remember setting one. How on earth do I go about figuring out what it is or getting around it? I've tried my "standard" passwords- and none of them worked. If I had set something, I would have used one of them.

Help? No help that I could find online either.

I did not get much help at school on this as they cater mostly to the Microsoft products but it was suggested to try "password" in lower case. Sounds odd but it is default password used for the "administrator" user ID.

Thanks for the suggestion John. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I tried 'password', and I tried my name in several different ways.


I'm stumped. I'll have my DH look at it when his customer is gone and he's not working as late. (He's a Cisco engineer...he should have some tricks up his sleeve or some password crack tool.hahaha)

Got a spare bedroom you would rent out for a bit and would your hubby be willing to have an apprentice? I think I have to do some on the job for my class!
