I don't have the $$ to outright replace it...it's not a cheap piece, and I can live without it if I absolutely have to...just was wondering if there were any way it would be replaced for me. Curious if anyone else had this happen, and what they did about it...

We own two Sony digital cameras and have been VERY happy with them. My mother-in-law has a Kodak something or other with the same megapixels as ours, and her photos just aren't as nice and none of us are professional photographers by any means!!

Nobody is attacking anything...I think this has been a very civilized discussion on what we believe. I can see where it COULD turn ugly, and if it goes there, then it should be stopped...but right now it is simply sharing what we believe, and I think it's been very respectful of others. JMO
