It's the shapeHi! It's my understanding that larger pieces are the ones that break more often because of their shape. The large, thin bottoms are more apt to conceal nearly invisible cracks or air bubbles. It's just the nature of the material. You should, however, ask your customers...
I need to get more info on thisHello all! About the gift certificate fundraisers - the idea is simple. You just have your group make a list of contacts and sell them gift certificates (instead of doing a kitchen show). I loved this idea and know lots of people who do this, but I've been...
Yes on both counts!Hi Rita,
The recipe is delicious (if you like beans and garlic!) and I would make it for a show. I would pair it with the pizzetta triangles, which I would do first so they can cook and cool. The dip would be next. I would roast, cool, and peel all the garlic, and...
Hi all!
I made the Roasted Garlic Spread, one of the new recipes for Spring. The recipe says to use the Nylon Masher to mash the beans. DON'T BOTHER! It was not working at all. Use the pastry blender instead. It worked very quickly and easily! Happy Cooking!
Delicious!Italian is one of my favorite cuisines, so I was very happy when I found out what the theme was this season! I've made the Risotto, and it's awesome! There's a bit of prep work to do before the show, but the results are worth it. Good luck!
Ideas for youHi Michael,
This site is probably the best place to find other Hispanic consultants. You might call the Home Office - they may be able to help, too. Regarding building your Hispanic customer base, you can go to any Spanish markets in your area and post flyers. Merrill Corp...
Never wait!Hi Cynthia!
I'm glad you joined us! You will find lots of great ideas and info here from all over the world. Just a few tips: Never, ever wait! Unless the person has requested a specific contact date (which you should always follow up on!), never let the excitement pass! The...
Try Lemon JuiceThe smell comes from the residual oil left on the stone. Baking soda works well, and I usually add a little lemon juice to it. The acid helps remove some of the oil and leaves a nice smell behind. Good luck!
Pass on your suggestions/concerns!Since this is fairly new territory for PC, by all means send in any and all suggestions/concerns you have to them. They did not become such a large, well-respected company by ignoring the ones who helped them grow! Even a booming, debt-free company can't...
You've already taken the first step!Just deciding to grow your team is a very powerful first step! Think about why you decided to join and realize there are a lot of people out there just like you. Yes, there's a lot of info involved, but people are attracted to people. If you know it's fun...
Use a templateHere's something I do. I use butcher or construction paper to make template copies of of each round stone. Usually, if I say the stone is 13 inches, they still won't know if it will fit because a lot of people aren't good at visualizing dimensions. If you give them the paper...
Ok, just breathe!I know sudden changes can make us all nervous, but let's just relax and think about this a bit. If you've been in PC for a while, you know that websites are fairly new territory. It's inevitable that some bugs will pop up somewhere. The PC I know has never made any changes to...
"That time of year?"Wow! Great responses! I'm beginning to like this site more and more. About the "this time of year" thing. Be careful not to be so ready to accept that that might be the issue here. Although, as a mother of four, I am just as busy as the next person, we've all been...
Some questions and suggestionsFirst of all, it's not common to have very high shows so soon after starting, especially only doing 1-2 shows a month, so it sounds like you're on the right track! Good job on the bookings, too!
This may be a bit long, so bear with me.
1. Have you talked to...
Do you have a website yet?I would suggest, if don't have a website yet, to get one and then let people know if they can't make it to check it out. Tell them if they'll contact you through your site, you'll email them a free recipe or quick tips. This way you have their info and can get back to...
