AJPratt said:Laura: You are doing an awesome job as a new consultant! I have to say that my director does recognize people for all sorts of things, which is really great. I thought I had a crappy month and wound up getting an award for something. It was really nice!
chefann said:I agree with you, Anne.
Right now, my Director has a few of us who are fairly consistent (I'm the least consistent of the 3), plus some "every-other-month"-ers, and a couple who are in and out. The consistent people give her peace of mind about reaching her required volumes and team size, while the other folks are almost the frills - not something you expect, but a little extra on the top. The hobbyists can also look up to the consistent folks and see people who are like them: SAHM, or those with full-time jobs, and see that it is possible to turn in something every month.
Interestingly, the 3 of us who are most consistent are also the 3 long-timers in the cluster. Of the 15 or so people who were in the cluster when I signed, we're the only 3 left. The every-other-month people are the next group for longevity, and then the "when I have something, I'll turn it in" people.
I can see that. Of the 3 people I've recruited, I've got one in each of the top 3 categories.pamperedlinda said:Out of 10 recruits:

erinyourpclady said:oh the woes of the almost theres! As an almost fifth year almost there...I am so with y'all! Once upon a time, I was SOOOO close. Then my Director moved and I took over the cluster and focused my energy on the cluster and not MY team. Needless to say.....no Directorship for me. Then one of my girls promoted past me right before I moved back to the states and I lost her downline. Bummer huh?
It will come...I have faith. Maybe not this year but I am shooting to promote by Leadership so that when I wear my 5 year pin, I can add my Director ribbon and hopefully get over 100,000 for my career club!

It sounds like we are about in the same place! I am imagining that by Leadership, I will have my 5 yr pin(Ok - that ones a "Gimme"), and possibly my 100,000 Club (At $80K right now)....and I would so love to add a Director Ribbon to that! First I have to concentrate on gaining back my FD status! I am all signed up for Leadership Conf. Club, and the money is being taken out every month - I would not like to have to ask for it all back because I don't qualify for Leadership.........
ivykeep said:Wow, can you be MY director? Mine doesn't return my phone calls, doesn't respond to my email, doesn't follow through on what she promises (back in march to promote 3-2-1 she said that if we submitted her the names of our 15 contacts each week for a month we'd immediately be mailed out a prize -- I did every week yet never saw ANYTHING. She also announced that whoever in the cluster (although she wasn't clear on exactly what the cluster was -- hers or including our upline) sold the most in April with a minimum of 6 shows would win a complete cookware set. I've asked twice who won with no response at all), she's called me a TOTAL of 3 times since I signed in December and has only sent me a handful of emails. We scheduled a weekly call time, but she's never called once and has never been home or available when I've called her (so I can't even reschedule a time).
She moved last fall (to my area) so most of her cluster is about 90 miles from me and my original director that I was going to sign under was going inactive and wanted me to have more local support (ha ha ha) so referred me to my current director. She told me she was trying to build a new cluster in my area, but apparently I don't matter. Which is fine -- thanks to you all here, I'm doing fine on my own without any support.
I sold $7000 in my first 90 days, but didn't get any bit of recognition or support or anything.
I did get an email from her asking if I wanted to walk in July as a director since she's trying to make it to the next level -- I replies that I wasn't having much success with recruiting, but got no response from her on that at all. (Certainly no tips or help). It honestly makes me feel really used (I'm worth talking to to see if she can get me to director so that she can make her next level, but if it won't be easy for her to bump me up then I'm not worth the time... but she can earn overrides and director incentives on my commission without giving me any support at all).
Sigh... (guess it shows me what NOT to do if I ever make director).![]()
