Do YOU the box mix for the WNC brownies in the large bar pan? I find them sooo thin! I use the package size (in a bag) for the small bar pan, 1 box for the medium, and two boxes for the large pan when I make brownies at home. I would think that only one box for the large would make for very thin brownies. Does it?

I have made them several times and they have been fine. Just make sure that it is an 18-21 oz box and that you use the instructions for the cake-like brownies. They're not super thick, but they are not thin. In my opinion anyway. They have been a huge hit every time!

I agree. I think making them cake like makes them a bit thicker than a normal brownie.

They are sooooo rich though. Could you stand them to be any larger? But they are right, just be sure you are getting the larger brownie mix and making them cake-like and you shouldn't have any troubles!

Or use the smaller package in the medium bar pan. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What size brownie mix should I use for a standard 9x13 inch pan?

For a standard 9x13 inch pan, you should use a 19.5 oz box of brownie mix. This size will provide the right amount of batter to fill the pan evenly and achieve the desired thickness.

Can I use multiple smaller boxes of brownie mix instead of one large box?

Yes, you can use multiple smaller boxes of brownie mix to achieve the same total weight as one large box. Just make sure the combined weight matches the recommended amount for your pan size.

How many brownie mixes do I need for a large gathering?

For a large gathering, it’s generally recommended to prepare 1 box of brownie mix for every 10-12 people. If you expect 30 guests, for example, you should plan on making at least 3 boxes of brownie mix.

What if I want to make brownies in a smaller pan?

If you are using a smaller pan, such as an 8x8 inch or 9x9 inch, you can use half of a standard brownie mix box (about 9.75 oz) or adjust the baking time accordingly to ensure they cook properly.

Can I mix different flavors of brownie mixes together?

Absolutely! Mixing different flavors of brownie mixes can create unique and delicious combinations. Just ensure that the total amount of batter is suitable for the size of your baking pan.
