Both out of Main Dishes:

Rav'n Ravioli

and

Quick Chicken Cacciatore

The look great! and was wondering if they really are? I am thinking about buying a hot-plate and these would be good to cook in my skillet on it at shows. I needs something a little different b/c I am getting a lot of repeat guest in my small area.

Just bumping this up.......

I havent' tried those but they sound really good :)

Sorry, I haven't tried them either - but they sound good. I personally do not have the hot plate, but Mrs Syvo (another Cheffer) uses one at her shows and really likes it - I think she found it cheap at Walmart - plus it is a business write-off.

And Nancy Jo uses one at her shows - so it can't be a bad idea!

I love demoing the chicken recipe!!! It is an awesome one, especially for a Sat. or Sun afternoon fall show...I have the host cook up bow tie pasta ahead of time (can put in colander to hold). This pasta works the best for guests to eat. Have host buy the styro bowls for serving in.
I also sometimes make the pull apart cheesy garlicy biscuits in the fluted stone when I first start demoing. Let these bake while you demo up the chicken.
recipe for biscuits is

melt 1 stick of butter or margarine in micro cooker
press in fresh garlic
I throw in some Italian seasoning mix

set aside

open up 4 cans of regular pillsbury biscuits...(if using flaky use 3 cans)
and lay them in fluted stone standing the biscuits on end all the way around. Pour the butter mixture over biscuits. I grate a little parm. cheese over the biscuits. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until baked through.
Invert onto platter and let them pull apart.

You could also do this in the deep dish baker and maybe cut down the butter amount and biscuit amount...Just play around with it...(it's the same concept as the skillet biscuits, but if you were wanting to show a stone go this route since you already have the skillet being used.

Have your host just make up a dessert ahead if wanted.
