A local host wants her sister to have a virtual Pampered Chef shower - basically so people don't have to pay for direct shipping costs off the registry. Any thoughts on how to present her wish list? People will not have a catalog but coudl go on-line to order. Thought I would be the wish list in the News section but am looking for thoughts on how to make this go more smoothly. THANKS!

I came up with these instructions to send out with a Bridal Shower invitation. Sounds like what you are looking for....

Can’t attend the shower but would like to purchase a Pampered Chef gift for Barbie and Ken?
Browse their registry online at:
www.pamperedchef.biz/XXXXXXXXXX

1. In the top right hand corner, click on Registries,
2. Then choose “find a registry” from the menu on the left.
Enter Barbie Mattel, Kansas, and May 2007, click find registry,
Choose Barbie and Ken's name.
3. You can print this list out, or just browse online. If you see something you would like to purchase................
PLEASE DO NOT CHECK PURCHASE on this page!!!!
(otherwise you will pay extra direct shipping charges, and the order will be processed as a wedding gift, and not be included as part of the shower)
4. When ready to place an order, go back to the original web-site by clicking on /christycooks4U between the horizontal lines at the top of the page.
5. Choose “Order Products in the bottom left hand corner
6. Choose option #1 and enter Barbie's name
7. Click on her name again when it comes up in the listing.
8. Enter your order either by item number of browsing and selecting from the catalog categories on the left.
9. When finished entering items, click “proceed to finalize order”.
10. Enter your information on the next screen. If you want the items shipped directly to Barbie, click “deliver to host”.
11. For Payment, either enter credit card info, OR contact Hostess or Consultant to make other payment arrangements.
12. If you get confused, don’t hesitate to give me a call at xxxxxxxx, or xxxxxxxxx.

Oh yeah...sounds confusing, but I had people figure it out and place orders (even the bride's Grandma!) and didn't get a single call from anyone who had trouble.

Couldn't remember the rules on posting our actual web-sites. Hope I did it right!

You can send your address in an email, you just can't advertise online!

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if she'll want to include this with invites or not. Normally, you would just put "Barbie and Ken are registered at Target, Kohl's and www.pamperedchef.biz/xxxxxx" Two registries seem easy, the third (ours) needs a bit of explanation. Oh well....Thanks...BEE

At all the places they'd need to click on a registry link and do a search. I'm not sure ours needs tons more explanation other than making it really clear that they must go to your specific PWS.

Also you can make a tinyurl that would take people directly to their registry once they have set it up.
