I just need to vent a little bit, I know we all have to at some point or another. I just came home from the worst show I have ever done....I brought the food, my treat to the host. What she brought was some hungry people who never intended to buy anything. There was 15 people at the show and only 3 people ordered. She in return is not spending any of her own money because she has less than 15.00 in her checking account. The host only collected 2 outside orders. This show is barely a show. When I explained she gets 15.00 for free she wanted to know why she can't have more for all the hard work she has done......

I have another show tomorrow I hope it goes better than tonight....

Thanks for reading
Christina

SorryFirst I am so sorry to hear that, I'm sure you did a great job! I hate when hosts act dumb and don't realize that FREE stuff is based on how much in sales you get! As if they forgot and we can afford to just give them FREE stuff out of our own pockets!!

I hope the next one works out better for you. I take these bad shows as learning experiences and to really appreciate the good shows and hosts!!

HARD WORK???? Two outside orders and only 3 people ordering is hard work? :confused:
Wow I'd hate to see if she dropped the ball and did nothing!!!! :eek:
LOL

Debbie :D

*snugs* sorry that happened to you. May your next show be a great success.

Sorry that happened to you. I think tomorrow's show is going to be great! How many people is tomorrow's host expecting?

That's tough. I hate it when you give em' an inch and they take a mile!

Maybe next time you can tell them you'll buy the ingredients if the show hits $300 or something like that.

Good luck for the next one!

Not sure if this can help others, but one of the things that I do is tell the host to save the receipt for the food bought. Then I do an incentive where I would take the amount they spent off their total. Sometimes I've done it based on show total and sometimes I do it based on attendance total.

I'm sorry to see that 15 people came and only 3 orders. {{{shaking head}}}
