One of my guests (and future hosts!:D ) at my show last night said her bar pan has a crack in it. It's less than 3 years old, but she doesn't have her receipt. What should I do? Of course I want her happy!

She should call the solution center directly and they will walk her through the process of returning it for a new one. Just give her the 888-OUR-CHEF number and she's good to go!

Thanks!! I wasn't sure how involved I should be, I'd much rather she deal with the home office on her own!! What do you think they'll do??

Lately, I've had the same problem on like 3 different stones with customers who bought them 1 year or less! Don't know what's up with that!

What I would do is when she has her show give her a new stone.;)

They will most likely have her send it back and then send her a new one. If she were going to do that I would suggest she break it all the way and they will just have her send a piece. Much easier on the shipping!:D

I have had at least 5 stones crack in the past 6 months....I HATE doing returns as well...grrrrrrrr

I understand not liking to do returns....I have had at least 5 in the 6-9 months. And it has been a variety of pieces, not just the same piece. I don't know if something is going on, but I hope they fixed it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes cracks in Pampered Chef stoneware?

Cracks in Pampered Chef stoneware can occur due to thermal shock, which happens when the stoneware is exposed to sudden temperature changes. For example, placing a cold stoneware piece directly into a hot oven can lead to cracking. Additionally, using metal utensils on the stoneware can create scratches that may weaken the surface over time.

How can I prevent my stoneware from cracking?

To prevent cracking, always preheat your oven before placing stoneware inside. Avoid placing cold stoneware directly into a hot oven or on a cold surface. Use wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the surface, and ensure that you follow the care instructions provided with your stoneware.

What should I do if my stoneware has already cracked?

If your stoneware has developed cracks, it is best to discontinue use for cooking as it may compromise the integrity of the piece. You can still use it for serving or as a decorative item. If the cracks are minor, some users have reported success in using food-safe sealants, but this is not recommended for cooking purposes.

Can I return or exchange my cracked stoneware?

Yes, Pampered Chef offers a satisfaction guarantee on their products. If your stoneware has cracked due to a manufacturing defect, you can contact Pampered Chef customer service for assistance with a return or exchange. Be sure to have your receipt and any relevant information handy when you reach out.

What tips can I share with my guests about caring for stoneware?

Encourage your guests to follow proper care instructions, such as avoiding sudden temperature changes, using appropriate utensils, and cleaning with mild soap and water. Remind them to season their stoneware regularly to maintain its non-stick surface and to avoid using abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
