I have a customer who bought the professsional shears and she is telling me they aren't sharp anymore. She has had them less than a year.

I have a set and I can still cut through chicken with mine and mine are about 2 years old or so.

They have a 3 year warranty. Is this something that would be covered?

Yes. She'd have to send them back but they will exchange them for that reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes my Pampered Chef Professional Shears to lose sharpness quickly?

Several factors can contribute to your shears losing sharpness too soon, including improper cleaning, cutting through hard materials, or using them for tasks they aren't designed for. Always ensure you're using the shears for their intended purpose and clean them after each use to maintain their sharpness.

How can I properly maintain my Professional Shears to prevent dulling?

To maintain your shears, regularly clean them with warm soapy water and dry them immediately. Avoid cutting through materials like bone or hard plastic, and use the shears only for food-related tasks. Additionally, consider using a sharpening tool specifically designed for kitchen shears to keep the blades sharp.

Is it normal for Professional Shears to lose sharpness over time?

Yes, it is normal for any cutting tool, including Professional Shears, to lose sharpness over time with regular use. However, with proper care and maintenance, you can extend the life of the sharpness significantly.

Can I sharpen my Pampered Chef Professional Shears at home?

Yes, you can sharpen your shears at home using a sharpening stone or a specialized shear sharpener. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully to avoid damaging the blades. If you're unsure, consider taking them to a professional for sharpening.

What should I do if my shears are still dull after sharpening?

If your shears remain dull after sharpening, it may indicate that they have been damaged or worn down beyond repair. In this case, consider contacting Pampered Chef customer service for advice on replacement options or warranty coverage.
