Funny you asked this...I play this game called Cheryl's top ten. I usually start it when I am done with Queen of the shoppers. Helps them look through the catalog and if EVERYONE orders it it must be good!

Just wondering... how is the silicone floral cupcake pan in your top ten? I have never sold 1! Would love some advice on what you do!

I love to bake so I make brownies it in for every show - ghiradelli (sp) is the best. I talk about all the things you can do with it and always sell at least one at every show.

I don't make the brownies at the show - I bring them already made as an extra. You could even ask your host to buy a brownie mix along with the other ingredients needed and then take that box home for the next party.Have my first party this week. Haven't even tried the pan yet but will.
don't like to sell it until I try it. How about you?Oh, and the silicone cupcake pan got quite ugly from so much use so I have one for show and the other to use at home.

Really? It's one of my favorites.

My silicone pan got yucky too, but I keep bringing it. I used the crown pan, and was disappointed that the cake was not very high. Came out like the catalog photo. A little diappointing since you lose the crown effect.

My guests always sell the ice cream dipper to each other.

Probably not using the cup right. Doesn't slide easily for me - I like individual cups for each measurement. Maybe we need a bigger recipe for the crown? Which one did you use? off to sleep - need to get up with the kids early - goodnight.

I find that the Food Chopper sells in cycles, at least for me. When I get into a new group of people, they purchase it, but additional shows with that group will have fewer orders for it, since they already have it. The FC is still #1 on my all-time top sell list, although I don't think it's at the top when I limit it to the past 6 months.

Some brilliant person here did up a Queen of the shoppers game for fall. I use that usually for about a month, I personally think it is hokey, but effective. So I play. I then do a similar thing for my top ten. I just have them search for those, no poem required and talk about features and benefits etc. I include what my hostesses get in my top ten because to me that is reflective of what is popular. I do sell 4-6 DCB at every show. Usually 1 12" skillet full price too, not so much lately, but I will focus more on that because I love that piece.
Basically, I am NOT a gadgt girl and I tell them that. I think there are some core PC pieces that every kitchen should have and I encourage them to beg & borrow to get them
I bring and make a chicken in the DCB at every show. Almost every show I do is either power cooking or asian pork and noodle skillet. If they twist my arm I will do a skillet cake.
I come to show them the Best of the best. I do not need to show and sell them a scraper, their friends will do that

Honestly the Lg square bowl and server was from doing power cooking and cheeseburger salad shows all spring, I was bummed when they discontinued the server!
App. plates I encourage my hosts to get and then they chat them up at future shows. I love that it is caddy and plates!
Large bar pan is the first piece of stoneware I think people should get and the rice cooker is just cool, and versatile. Rice, ground beef, chicken for chicky salad, a cake etc...

I took a long hard look at what I was selling, what I was talking about and what my sales were. And then I changed my show to reflect what I wanted to get out of it and what I thought they would need to see to justify buying it.

Wow this tells me that I need to buy the large sheet pan (something I had been really thinking about anyways) and the apple wedger. I have most of the other things listed and have noticed they are good sellers too. I am trying to convince myself that I do not need to bring evertyhing I own to shows. I take the three tiered stand to every show and every craft fair and get lots of compliments, but no buyers. The only people who buy it are people who come over to hang out at my house (non PC party guests) and thats it. I fell in love with that and the trifle bowl when I first started and those I take everywhere. The trifle bowl has to be my best seller. I'd have to look up my top 10.

Wow I've run a few reports and it is interesting to see how the top 10 list changes. Many of the items I don't even talk about at my shows - or course some of them may come from catalog shows!

I'm going to take a hard look at my shows and just talk up the bigger items like Cheryl is doing. They sell the small things to each other as she said. I have been using the DCB at all my shows and it is very popular.

I have been a consultant for all of a month now... Here is my top 10. My realtor buys the large round stone and pizza cutter and pizza crust for his clients so thats at least 3 a month to him, and I have been making taffy apple tartlets which are a huge hit so I have sold a few mini muffin pans and tart shapers.
