Great things! You can do so many things with the tubes.

I think my favorite is more for summer time...Cut off both ends of a watermelon, and slide the tube through the center. Then, push out the melon, and slice. Great if you have the other shapes than what's currently available.

Also, I've heard that pumpkin, zucchini, etc., breads are awesome in them, but I haven't tried.

I like to do a Pillsbury French bread loaf, slice it really thin, and then toast the slices with [olive oil, garlic, cheese, or fill in the blank] for dipping, spreading, etc.

HTH!

Hi there! As a pampered chef consultant, I have a few favorite stuffing recipes that I would love to share with you. When it comes to what to put inside, I like to use a combination of bread cubes, diced vegetables (such as celery, onion, and carrots), herbs (like sage, thyme, and rosemary), and some type of protein (such as sausage, bacon, or chopped nuts). I also like to add a bit of chicken or vegetable broth to keep the stuffing moist. One of my go-to recipes is a classic sage and sausage stuffing. I start by browning some sausage in a pan and then adding in diced onion, celery, and carrots. Once those are softened, I mix in some bread cubes and herbs, and then pour in a bit of chicken broth. I let it all cook together for a few minutes until the bread is nice and soft. This stuffing is always a hit at my family's Thanksgiving dinner!Another delicious option is a mushroom and herb stuffing. I start by sautéing some diced mushrooms with butter and garlic. Then I mix in some bread cubes, herbs, and chicken broth. This stuffing has a rich and savory flavor that pairs well with any main dish.I hope these recipes give you some inspiration for your next stuffing creation. Happy cooking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some popular ingredients to use in stuffing recipes?

Popular ingredients for stuffing recipes include bread (such as white, whole wheat, or cornbread), vegetables (like onions, celery, and bell peppers), herbs (such as sage, thyme, and parsley), and proteins (like sausage or bacon). You can also add fruits like apples or cranberries for a sweet touch, as well as nuts for added texture.

Can I use leftover bread for stuffing?

Yes, using leftover bread is a great way to make stuffing. Stale bread absorbs the flavors of the broth and seasonings better than fresh bread. You can cube the bread and let it dry out overnight or toast it in the oven to achieve the right texture for your stuffing.

Is it necessary to cook stuffing before baking it?

It is not necessary to fully cook stuffing before baking, but it is recommended to sauté any vegetables and proteins first to enhance their flavors. The stuffing should be mixed with broth and then baked until heated through and the top is golden brown, ensuring that all ingredients are properly cooked.

Can I make stuffing ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare stuffing ahead of time. You can assemble it the day before and store it in the refrigerator. Just make sure to cover it tightly. When you're ready to bake, allow it to come to room temperature before putting it in the oven, and adjust the baking time as needed.

What are some gluten-free options for stuffing?

For gluten-free stuffing, you can use gluten-free bread or grains like quinoa, rice, or cornbread. Be sure to check that all other ingredients, such as broth and seasonings, are also gluten-free. You can still include your favorite vegetables, herbs, and proteins to create a flavorful stuffing.
