Brenda.the.chef said:There used to be an "end date" option and now it's gone? Am I missing something?
NooraK said:The last time I created an event, I needed to apply a time before it gave me an end date
I've got one Facebook show going on now, and I've had to go in every day and change the date to "today's date" to keep it from disappearing. I haven't found a work around yet, but that seems to be keeping it current even though it's kind of a pain to have to edit every day.winklermom said:This is correct but the problem that I've had is that it the event seems to disappear after the beginning date has passed. You can search for it and find it but it doesn't show up in your "Events" otherwise.
Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way around this other than listing the beginning and the end date and for the end date only? Example: September 15 @ 12:00 p.m. for the beginning
September 15 @ 10:00 p.m. for the ending
Does that make sense?
For my FB parties the date I put in the end date as the start date so it won't disappear.Ambrleigh said:I've got one Facebook show going on now, and I've had to go in every day and change the date to "today's date" to keep it from disappearing. she has in there, under notes section, her links to her cookbook documents that guests can click on and download through acrobat.com
I cannot figure out for the life of me how she did those links..any help possible would be appreciated
I have downloaded all the documents but it only lets me upload a photo under notes..I know there is a trick to it...

It's all in her settings. She is receiving e-mails every time someone posts to the event. People can change this in their notification settings. It is set up that way by default. If people don't want e-mail notifications, they need to go in and change that in their preferences.*And if they don't want to be notified of things, they just need to RSVP to the events and "decline" them. It's very simple. It's too bad people just like to grumble and not look into things and see if they can help themselves.byrd1956 said:not sure where to post this
I had a host's show as a FB event and had been posting recipes, etc. She just closed her show so I have not cancelled the event. 13 hours ago someone posted on my page
"Stop sending me things!" I have only posted and not sent anything. I am wondering if since she was 'invited' she kept getting the posts in her news feed. I did send her a private apology message saying I had not sent any thing to individuals and only posted on the host's party page. I do not expect to hear from her and really do not need to. Am I misunderstanding this? Do the posts go directly to the guests the host lists?
byrd1956 said:So now I have another question. I go to edit on the show event and type in the host's name, hit save and it never saves. Haven't had this problem before.... Any suggestions?
byrd1956 said:I have tried in IE, Chrome and Firefox. Can't make any host the host. Are there any saavy fb event people out there??
nothing is listed there and now all the posts I have made in any of the shows are gone! anyone else having this happen??darlinclem said:Under the settings of the event (the spokes like wheel on the upper right of the event), you can add administrators/hosts.
it is not there and now the posts I have already made in shows are not there.....darlinclem said:Under the settings of the event (the spokes like wheel on the upper right of the event), you can add administrators/hosts.

I'm curious to hear what other people are doing with these! Thanks for starting a thread!
Those consultants need to run the shows from their personal FB profiles and set the privacy status of them to "invite only." That way, you won't see the incessant postings.mspibb said:I have been very resistant to doing Facebook shows because I have to say I get sick of seeing the posts from other Consultants with whom I am friends. It is a real pain especially on my Blackberry where I have very little control over blocking posts. I am friends with several other Consultants who seem to do incessant Facebook shows and they post status update after status update telling people it's the last chance to order on So-and-so's show! Over it!
Facebook-only parties are virtual gatherings hosted on Facebook where consultants showcase products, share recipes, and engage with guests through posts, comments, and live videos. Participants can browse, ask questions, and place orders directly through the event page, making it a convenient way to shop from home.
To promote your Facebook-only party, create an event page and invite friends, family, and potential customers. Use eye-catching graphics and engaging posts to generate excitement. Share reminders leading up to the event and consider offering incentives, such as giveaways or exclusive discounts, to encourage participation.
During the party, share a mix of engaging content, including product demonstrations, recipe ideas, customer testimonials, and interactive polls or quizzes. Live cooking demonstrations can be particularly effective, as they showcase the products in action and allow for real-time interaction with guests.
To keep guests engaged, encourage interaction by asking questions, prompting discussions, and responding to comments promptly. Incorporate fun activities like contests or challenges, and consider using Facebook Live to create a dynamic experience. Regularly remind guests of any limited-time offers or promotions to maintain interest.
After the party, follow up with guests by thanking them for attending and sharing a recap of the event. Send personalized messages to those who showed interest in specific products and provide them with ordering information. Additionally, consider gathering feedback to improve future parties and maintain connections with your guests.
