SUMMARY

The sales tax for catalog shows is determined by the shipping address of the host, not the location of the event. In the discussion, it is clarified that if items are shipped to the host's home address in Pennsylvania, the applicable sales tax is 7.1%, as opposed to the higher rate of 7.7% in New Jersey where the host works. This distinction allows guests to benefit from lower shipping costs and tax rates based on the shipping destination.

Is the sales tax according to the address of the host?

I've got a catalog show going but the host lives in one county - took it to work in a different county & is getting orders from some people in a 3rd county! LOL But since it's shipping to her home I use her county's sales tax, right!?

Thank you!!!

Right. The sales tax is connected to where the show is being shipped to. For example, my mom lives here in PA, but works in NJ. NJ has higher taxes, so her guests get to enjoy cheaper shipping due to the fact that everything is getting shipped to a PA address.
