One of the reasons I joined Pampered Chef was so I could learn to cook. (I've never enjoyed cooking but have always loved Pampered Chef products and recipes.)

However, I'm currently on a rather restricted grocery budget and wondering if there is a way I can search PC recipes based on ingredient. That way I could concentrate on making recipes that use ingredients that are currently on sale at my local grocery store as well as using up any leftovers I end up with (like the leftover broccoli from last night's dinner:) I'm thinking this might also be useful information for some of my hostesses as some of them are in the same boat budget-wise.

Is there a recipe search feature in the Consultant's Corner?

Leslie

(I'm new to Pampered Chef (so new I have yet to get my consultant's number:)

Yes there is, at the top of the red tabs is Recipes or something like that. You can click on that and it will lead you to a place to search for recipes. Good luck and have fun with your new business!

Check out Hillbilly Housewife, and also Google 'low cost recipes' for ideas.Avoid costly convenience foods, is my best advice. As you learn to cook, you might want to explore make it yourself mixes for seasoned rice, baking mixes, etc.Eggs are a good price-wise source of protein. Best $ saving advice I ever had was to consider meat/chicken/fish a 'condiment". Most of the world eats smaller portions with more veggies.Hope this helps,

I found a bunch of boneless, skinless chicken on sale for $1.29 a pound and two whole chickens for 79 cents a pound. I plan to do the 30 minute chicken some time soon and the chicken tortilla again.

Last time I made it, I looked for the cheapest variety of chips I could find. Half of them were broken which was fine with me, since I was breaking them anyway!

but am very excited about this new venture in my life!)

Hi Leslie,

Welcome to the Pampered Chef family! I'm so glad to hear that you joined us to learn how to cook. Our products and recipes are definitely a great way to get started in the kitchen.

I completely understand your concern about sticking to a budget while still enjoying delicious meals. Luckily, there is a recipe search feature in the Consultant's Corner that allows you to search for recipes based on specific ingredients. Simply log into your account and click on the "Recipes" tab. From there, you can select "Advanced Search" and then choose the ingredients you have on hand or that are on sale at your local grocery store.

I'm sure your hostesses will also appreciate this feature when planning their parties. It's always helpful to have budget-friendly options for guests to choose from.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best in your new Pampered Chef venture! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or need assistance with anything.

Happy cooking!
