Congrats!! I was about 1 1/2 years into PC when I had my 2nd. I never had to take a leave (personal sales requirement waiver), which you can do just FYI. Mostly a few months before you're due just start booking catalog/online shows like crazy. Really you only need to have $200 every other month, so if you have at least one decent catalog show every other month through the time you want to have "off." It's definitely possible. This is a good time to call in those favors from friends or mention it at your shows all the time. A fellow consultant/friend put it a blurb in her email signature for the months leading up to when her baby was due and offered little bonuses for booking catalog/online shows during those months. You can do it! Just let people know you want to keep your business strong during that time and ask if they'd consider doing catalog shows.milkangel said:I just found out i am pregnant and i am a little worried about having enought bookings while i am pregnant and after having the baby it will be the second child. any one have any ideas to get more before it comes? Booking parties while pregnant can be managed by focusing on virtual parties or smaller in-home gatherings. Communicate with your customers about your situation, and many will be understanding and supportive. Utilize social media to promote your business and offer incentives for booking parties during this time.
After a C-section, it's important to prioritize your recovery. Schedule parties only when you feel physically ready, typically after your doctor gives you the green light. Consider hosting virtual parties or delegating tasks to team members to lighten your load during the initial recovery period.
Yes, you can host cooking demonstrations while pregnant, but it's essential to listen to your body. Opt for shorter sessions and ensure you have help with setup and cleanup. You might also consider focusing on simpler recipes that require less physical effort.
Time management is key when balancing a new baby and your direct sales business. Set specific work hours when your baby is napping or when you have support. Use online tools for scheduling and follow-ups to maximize your efficiency, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your team for assistance.
To maintain customer engagement, keep communication open through newsletters, social media updates, and personal messages. Share your journey, including your pregnancy and recovery, to create a personal connection. Offer exclusive promotions or virtual events to keep your customers excited and engaged with your business.
