I am contemplating doing a Why Box at my shows and was wondering what others success was at using this?

Currently I do 10 tickets - ask me anything you want about the Pampered Chef Business opportunity. It goes over well, but I thought why not change it up from time to time, especially when you get bookings from a party you already did the 10 tickets at.

Thanks for your input in advance.

I just put together my Why bag and did it at my last show and I got a few chuckles from it but no recruiting leads. I will continue to use it and see if it works!

Good luck!

I used my Why bag for the first time last night. My Director has been doing it for a while and it works for her - TPC in Recruiting and taught the Double Digit Recruiting workshop at conference. I did get a recruit lead last night, but she wasn't even there when I did the Why bad presentation.

Can I ask a crazy question...What is a Why Bag or Box???

A Why Bag is a small bag (or box) that contains items that represent why you enjoy selling PC.

Mine contains:
A picture of my 2 girls - because PC allows me to stay at home with them and still help my family financially
A list of every product I have received for free since starting with PC - because I'm a sucker for free stuff
A copy of my first month's commission check - this one is fairly obvious
An old credit card - because my true reason for selling PC is to help cut down on our debt

I've not had a recruit since starting this, but I find it is a good way for the guests to learn a little about you and PC at the same time.

Thanks for explaining that. I may look into doing that. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Why Box and how does it work at Pampered Chef shows?

A Why Box is a tool used during Pampered Chef shows to help consultants share their personal stories and motivations for being part of the company. It typically contains items or notes that represent the consultant's "why"—the reasons they are passionate about their business. By incorporating the Why Box into their presentations, consultants can create a more personal connection with their guests, making the experience more engaging and relatable.

How can I create an effective Why Box for my Pampered Chef shows?

To create an effective Why Box, start by reflecting on your personal journey with Pampered Chef. Include items that represent your motivations, such as photos, quotes, or small tokens that symbolize your goals and achievements. Make sure to keep it visually appealing and organized. Practice sharing your story in a way that resonates with your audience, and be prepared to answer questions about your journey and experiences.

How does using a Why Box impact guest engagement during shows?

Using a Why Box can significantly enhance guest engagement by providing a personal touch to your presentation. When guests hear your story and understand your motivations, they are more likely to connect with you and the products you are showcasing. This emotional connection can lead to increased interest in your offerings, higher sales, and potentially more recruits for your team.

Can I use a Why Box for virtual Pampered Chef shows?

Absolutely! A Why Box can be adapted for virtual shows by using a digital format. You can create a slideshow or video that showcases the items and stories behind your Why Box. Sharing your personal journey through a virtual platform can still foster connection and engagement with your audience, making them feel more involved and inspired to participate in your business.

What are some tips for sharing my Why Box story effectively during a show?

When sharing your Why Box story, be authentic and passionate. Start with a brief introduction about yourself and your journey with Pampered Chef. Use storytelling techniques to make your narrative engaging, such as incorporating anecdotes or challenges you've overcome. Keep your presentation interactive by inviting questions and encouraging guests to share their own stories. Lastly, practice your delivery to ensure you convey your message confidently and clearly.
