I don;t know if you folks in the US have "Weekenders" (The home party clothing line).

But I guess as of June 9th, they are bankrupt!
They notified their consultants that they are done and no longer have a biz!! Scary .... I think they have been around for at least 20 years.

Yeah, someone started a thread to inform us of this news about 1 or 2 weeks ago. It's very sad!

I was reading a thread on a moms site that I read locally and it looks like Private Quarters are trying to get Weekenders Consultants to sign with them by offering a FREE Kit and more.

Wow! PQ must be desperate for consultants (either that or they are super generous). hmmmmm

I was wondering how all of the consultants who sign on who aren't Weekenders will feel about having to pay for something that the next person is getting for free?

That is exactly what I was thinking Becky. Doesn't seem right to me!

Am I the only one (BECAUSE I am a 5 - LOL) that noticed the typo in the letter PQ wrote to the consultants -

Join with NO Start Up Costs and Get your Kit for Fee. FEE?? or FREE???

Bet my sista 5 would have found it before me if she wasn't as her day job!! (miss ya Kacey!!)

Have you seen the prices of the Private Quarters stuff???

Have a hostess, who is also a Partylite and PQ consultant. She is constantly after me to host a PQ party. I won't do an candle party, why in the world would I do a PQ party.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is cracking down on DS companies telling prospective consultants that they can get their kit for free. I wonder if the leadership over at PQ knows that.

I saw that too. They need to hire a proof reader!

Hey - I would just run to a company that doesn't have a proofreader before they send out a major mailing with recruiting potential - NOT!!! HOW the heck did no one pick up on that at PQ?? I noticed it first thing - (now, my typos are of course just to keep all you guys on your toes!!;) )

Linda you must be a 5 or compatible with us!! LOL!!!

I had to read that sentance @ 3 times to make sure I wasn't skipping over a word. But yep, it's a misspelled word.

Actually, I'm an 11 (which means I'm a 2) and supposedly I'm least compatible with you 5's (especially now that you so openly pointed out my spelling error :p ) I haven't had time to study this thing, but here's the brief low-down on me:

You were born on a Saturday
under the astrological sign Libra.
Your Life path number is 11.

Your fortune cookie reads:
If you want the rainbow, you must to put up with the rain. D. Parton

Life Path Compatibility:
You are most compatible with those with the Life Path numbers 2, 4, 8, 11 & 22.
You should get along well with those with the Life Path numbers 3 & 6.
You may or may not get along well with those with the Life Path number 9.
You are least compatible with those with the Life Path numbers 1, 5 & 7.

Well I don't have time to read the entire thing - there were some more mistakes I found:

In the spirit of goodwill to you and your family, we are happy to offer "your" (should be you)

you will receive an immediate refund of your Starter Kit Purchase
and will not be re‐charged for "their" (should be your) kit as long as you submit $1,500 in your first 40 days as a PQ

I guess they were in a hurry to get this out. I personally think it is a smart idea! I would love to be a PQ consultant who gets some of them in my downline! I don't see how getting the kit free is any different then PC offering free PC dollars - it's just not toward the kit.

Ahhh - who cares - I like ya anyway - spelling typos and all!!!~LOL

Rhonda my girl - I like your style.....

Oh NO - New sistas - LOL!!!

Well - me as a 5 think you both rock - so much for my birthday clock thread!! LOL !

I don't think that I don't get along with 5's. Any of those personality things that are not based on actual personality testing are very vague and open to interpretation. Like open readings by psychics. They make really broad statements that are then filled in my the observers based on their own experiences and knowledge.

I'm a 2....so does that mean I'm also an 11?

prob'ly. That must be why I like you, too. :D

Hey, you snuck in there while I was typing a response to Becky!

That's okay - I've developed an ability to read between the posts!

I feel honored to be in the company of such wonderful people who are also 2's....or 11's.....or both!
