Is a PC Recipe Required for Demonstrations? | General Recipe Question

In summary, to adjust the serving size for a recipe, you can multiply or divide the ingredients by the desired number of servings. It is also possible to substitute ingredients in a recipe, but be aware that it may affect the taste and texture of the dish. To determine if a dish is done cooking, use a thermometer or visual cues. Adjustments can also be made to a recipe to accommodate dietary restrictions, such as using gluten-free flour or alternative milk. To make a recipe healthier, consider using leaner meats, reducing sugar and salt, adding more vegetables and whole grains, and experimenting with different cooking methods and alternative ingredients.

In general, when doing a show, does the recipe you demo HAVE to be a PC recipe?

No, but showing a PC recipe will lead in to selling cookbooks and seasonings.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I am just pretty limited in choices right now with only a few pieces more than the starter kit, no seasonings of my own, my recruiter 2 hours away so hard to borrow from. Lots of recipes here and on CC but until I get certain pieces, hands are tied. Guess that's why the first show is my own so I can buy all the important pieces ASAP.

The last 2 recipes in each section of the Seasons Best are designed to use only kit products. So that's 6 right there. :)

Hi there! As a Pampered Chef consultant, I can assure you that the recipe you demo does not necessarily have to be a PC recipe. However, it is always recommended to showcase PC recipes during your shows as they are designed specifically to work with our products and highlight their unique features. Plus, using PC recipes can also show your guests the versatility and functionality of our products. That being said, you are more than welcome to incorporate other recipes into your demos as long as they align with the overall theme and purpose of your show. Happy cooking!

3. How do I know when a dish is done cooking?

The best way to determine if a dish is done cooking is to use a thermometer. The internal temperature of the food should reach a certain point depending on the type of meat or dish you are cooking. You can also use visual cues, such as a golden brown crust or a clear juice for meats, to determine if a dish is done.

4. Can I make adjustments to a recipe for dietary restrictions?
