I got a link to this site in a daily email of interesting things around the web. It's SOOOOO cool!!

What it does is make a word cloud from text you enter, or websites that you link to. Word sizes in the cloud are based on the frequency. You can change the orientation, font, color, etc. And then print or save your Wordle.

This is one that I created using the text of the Gettysburg Address, in honor of Lincoln's bicentennial.

The pic is a link to a larger version.

You can play with your own by going to Wordle - Beautiful Word Clouds.

I have seen the results before, but not the application to create it. Thanks so much, Ann!

This doesn't create links, like some websites have. It's purely decorative. But fun!

So that's how you do it! I saw one of these on that open source chick's site.

Ann,

Thanks for posting this link (I like your wordle too). I'm thinking I can whip up a nice (an unexpected) valentine's day gift for DH. How fun!

This is awesome! Thanks!

I love Wordle - it's so fun! I had created a PC wordle t-shirt here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wordle?

Wordle is a popular online word puzzle game where players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. After each guess, players receive feedback on their guesses, indicating which letters are correct and in the right position, which letters are correct but in the wrong position, and which letters are not in the word at all.

How do you play Wordle?

To play Wordle, you start by entering a five-letter word as your first guess. After submitting your guess, the game will highlight the letters in different colors: green for correct letters in the correct position, yellow for correct letters in the wrong position, and gray for letters that are not in the word. You continue guessing until you either find the correct word or exhaust your six attempts.

Is Wordle free to play?

Yes, Wordle is completely free to play. You can access it through its official website without any subscriptions or payments required. The game is designed to be simple and accessible to everyone.

Can you play Wordle on mobile devices?

Yes, Wordle can be played on mobile devices through web browsers. While there is no official app, the game is optimized for mobile play, allowing you to enjoy it on smartphones and tablets just as you would on a computer.

Are there any strategies for winning Wordle?

Some effective strategies for winning Wordle include starting with common five-letter words that contain frequently used letters, paying attention to the feedback provided after each guess, and using a process of elimination to narrow down possible letters and their positions. Additionally, keeping track of previously guessed letters can help avoid repeating incorrect guesses.
