How Can I Retrieve My Purged Tax Records from PPlus?

In summary, to obtain your past tax records, you can request a copy of your tax return from the IRS or contact your tax preparer/accountant. If you have lost your records, you can reconstruct them by gathering any documents containing relevant information or requesting a Wage and Income Transcript from the IRS. The IRS typically requires individuals to keep tax records for the past six years, but longer periods can be reconstructed with their assistance. If you are missing important tax documents, you can request copies from the IRS or relevant parties, or estimate missing amounts using bank/credit card statements. It is recommended to keep physical or electronic copies of your tax records for at least six years in a safe and secure location.

I am attempting to rebuild PPlus data which was purged when my machine was updated. (Fortunately, I was blessed with a helpful customer service rep, who probably didn't know she wasn't supposed to read me the info she did!)

I went through and reconstructed my "consultant gifts." I didn't see the point of actually re-entering the cc number, because what's the point? It's not like I'm submitting that again anyway.

Is there a way to get a copy of all these consultant gift receipts through P3? Also, will they have last year's dates on them?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve a copy of the consultant gift receipts through P3. The best option would be to contact the customer service representative who provided you with the information when your machine was updated and see if they have any record of the transactions. They may be able to provide you with a copy of the receipts. Additionally, they may be able to tell you if the receipts have the dates from last year's transactions.

Thanks!Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve past consultant gift receipts through P3. The only way to access them would be to contact customer service again and request a copy of your past consultant gift receipts. As for the dates on the receipts, they will show the date that the purchase was made, so if you are reconstructing from last year's data, the receipts will show last year's dates. In the future, it may be helpful to keep a record of your consultant gifts outside of P3, such as in a spreadsheet or notebook, to avoid losing this information in case of updates or technical issues.
