Doesn't that seem like an odd thing to have on backorder? Do you think with every baker sold, people are buying hot pads? :D On CC, it doesn't say that they are, but it does on P3. I just did an update, so I'm assuming it's correct.

That is an odd item to be on backorder. I would trust P3 to be updated correctly though. (I just updated too and it shows the same for me.) Maybe everyone who's selling the remaining DCBs has been selling them in the DCB-Sets (Michael Reeves did it!) :D Or maybe Keith and Dave with all of their fajitas and cakes!

Well, now the HP's will be in short supply and
will also be a host only special...with only 1
HP allowed her show. :p

Those Fajitas and Cakes can get HOT! Much easier to use Hot Pads to pick'm up and eat 'em.

ROFL. Dork. That's not what I meant!

I noticed that too. Incidentally, my host just ordered a white DCB and a hot pad, neither of which ended up being delayed.

I too am surprised that the oven pads are on backorder on P3 but not on CC. I sent HO an e-mail asking why it is not listed and of course, still no reply. :( I wish they practiced what they preach about us checking out the product status alerts and list all involved.

I have a show that has 7 oven pads on them (no DCB's btw) to send in which I will but have no idea how long the wait will be for these customers.

They were listed on BO for awhile...not now..so maybe P3 just hasn't updated yet?

Even though it said they were on backorder, my host said that they arrived just fine along with everything else.

Can anyone help me? I am looking for the Peanutty Brownie Pizza recipe. I stumbled on this site yesterday and signed up immediately! Looks like the perfect place for a first year consultant!

Hot Pads or oven pads? Which one? They're two different things.

In my instance it is the oven pads, Keith that are showing on P3 as backorder but not on CC under product status alerts.

My last P3 update took the warning symbol away from the oven pads. No reply from HO yet but I guess they read it and got the tech people to update P3. Either way I am happy that my show has nothing on backorder (yet)!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are hot pads and why are they important in baking?

Hot pads, also known as pot holders or oven mitts, are essential kitchen tools used to handle hot cookware safely. They protect your hands from burns and allow you to safely remove hot dishes from the oven or stovetop, making them a crucial item for any baker.

Why are hot pads currently on back order?

The trend of hot pads being on back order can be attributed to increased demand for baking supplies during recent years, particularly due to more people baking at home. Supply chain disruptions and manufacturing delays have also contributed to the shortage of these essential items.

How can I find out when hot pads will be back in stock?

To find out when hot pads will be back in stock, you can check the official Pampered Chef website or contact your local consultant. Many retailers also offer the option to sign up for notifications when items become available again.

Are there alternative products I can use while hot pads are unavailable?

Yes, while waiting for hot pads to become available, you can use thick kitchen towels, silicone baking mats, or even double-layered dishcloths as temporary alternatives. Just ensure they are thick enough to protect your hands from heat.

Will the back order of hot pads affect other baking supplies?

While the back order of hot pads may not directly affect other baking supplies, it can indicate broader supply chain issues that might impact the availability of other kitchen tools and accessories. It's wise to check stock levels for other items you may need for baking.
