... to get with the program.

Someone posted a couple days ago about the sticky notes they ordered from VistaPrint with return info, that they put on receipts. Well, the light bulb finally went on for me!

I've been putting a self-addressed stamped envelope in my host packs with a sticky note on it. I write "Use this envelope to collect outside orders and payment" on the sticky. Um, hello?!? I just ordered a sticky pad from VistaPrint with that text already on it. Now I won't have to write it out in my chicken scratch.

that's cool! I've yet to order from them but need to go check it out again!

Well now, isn't that just nifty?? Great idea.:)

That was me. I like your idea too & will have to try it. We should start a thread with Vista Print ideas. Each time I order, I make recipe cards out of postcards. I just change up the color for different recipes.

Sharon, you may have received a VistaPrint business card from me when we roomed together at New Director Academy. There's a possibility I had Merrill, but I've done VistaPrint cards 3 times.

Also had BEAUTIFUL postcards made for invitations to my son's senior recital. His music fraternity friends have asked him where they came from!

that is a GREAT idea!!! I am thinking I need to change my closing-show policy and do it this way for out-of-town shows.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of using sticky notes for collecting outside orders and payments?

Using sticky notes allows for a quick and easy way to jot down orders and payment details. They are portable, can be easily organized, and can be placed in visible areas to remind you of pending orders. Additionally, they can help streamline communication with customers by providing a physical reminder of their orders.

How can I organize sticky notes for multiple customers?

You can use different colored sticky notes for each customer or group similar orders together. Alternatively, you can create a dedicated space, like a bulletin board or a folder, where you can categorize the notes by customer name or order date, making it easier to track and manage multiple orders.

What information should I write on the sticky notes?

Each sticky note should include the customer's name, contact information, order details (such as item names and quantities), payment method, and any special instructions. This ensures that you have all the necessary information at a glance when processing the order.

How do I ensure that I don’t lose sticky notes with important order information?

To minimize the risk of losing sticky notes, consider using a designated area for them, such as a specific folder or a section of your workspace. You can also take a photo of each sticky note for digital backup or transfer the information to a digital format once the order is collected.

Can I use sticky notes for tracking payments as well?

Yes, sticky notes can be an effective way to track payments. You can write down the payment status on the note, such as "Paid," "Pending," or "Payment Received." This visual cue can help you stay organized and ensure that you follow up with customers as needed.
