Hi Leah, It has come to our attention that there is an advertisement of your business on the following Web site: http://www.weddingsatthebeach.org/home.cfm?dir_cat=75413

Copy me on all correspondence that may be sent to this site requesting removal of this ad. Please be advised that if we do not receive this information, it may result in the disabling of the Individual Ordering option on your Personal Web Site. We trust that you want to abide by the guidelines and we look forward to your compliance. What sucks is that the people from the bridal fair were trying to be nice and give you some advertising. Now you have to call them and say "thanks" but "no thanks":(

I am so sorry about this Leah! I hope everything works out!

The fair happens in March of this year... however part of the singed agreement with them is that your information remains on "FILE" with them for "ONE YEAR" ..... now how did I know what they meant???? I emailed them and asked them to remove and explain why I have not heard back from them yet!! :(

I would call HO and read their own policy to them! That's messed up! Hopefully you can get it taken care of! Good Luck!

Well not only did I give HO a time frame to respond back to me before I take further action hahah meaning I CALL THEM!!!! :D I also gave the bridal show that I was involved with a time frame to get back to me... and I also told each of them to duke it out with one another and leave me the heck out of it!!!!

Leah I am so sorry to hear that you got the letter. I am sure everything will work out just fine. Good luck

The thing that keeps coming to my mind is they have all these people who go out of their way on Myspace and EBAY to advertise their business.... and they choose to pick on people like me who can not control what a fair does with their website.... if that makes sense!!

As long as you ask anyone who puts your information up to remove it and copy HO you will be fine. Be sure to do it by email so you have the electronic trail.

If they don't remove it HO will contact them. HO monitors the web and finds these things - I would bet it's at least 50/50 that noone said anything and they found it on their own. They are just trying to have an even playing field for us all.

I know it's scary and frustrating to get this kind of notice but shake it off. As long as you are following the rules and show them that you are trying, you'll be okay.

Oh Leah, I'm sorry. It really depends who you are... go to google and type in "Shan Eisler". HO has known about that for a year now and has done nada.

If I recall correctly execs are allowed to advertise.

Shan Eisler is an Exec and I think Execs and above are allowed to have websites outside of PWS. It's a perk. Please correct me if I'm wrong, someone! (Like that'd be a problem!) Because I may very well be misunderstanding the policy.

You are correct. Execs and above may have a website for training their team. If it's a sales site, that's not allowed.

Are execs allowed to advertise product sales and the business opportunity on their websites?
