That's why I put "need" in quotes for that item above. Those are expenses that you may have had anyway. And I know that I sometimes purposely wait until conference, in case there's anything new from the vendors.BethCooks4U said:You do not have to spend money at the vendor booths and I consider anything that I might spend there part of my business expense that I would otherwise have done on line.

Oh, I never buy anything from the vendors before going to conferences because they always have new things and some kind of special. But like you said, these are expenses I would have had anyway so I don't count them as a "Conference" expense.chefann said:That's why I put "need" in quotes for that item above. That's the joke in my cluster - we're taking turns sleeping our way to the top.raebates said:I'll be sharing a room with my director and two other women. (Depending on how many go from our cluster, those women could easily be from another cluster.) I'll most likely share a bed with my director. (Yeah, that's right, sleeping with the boss.)

She shared the room/bed with her Exec...................Well the Exec. spooned her ALL night Everybody knew from then on don't room with herPChef_ang said:My first conference I had to share a bed with my Executive, OMG!!! I think i slept on 2 inches of bed and didn't move all night long I was so afraid I'd sprawl all over her and that so wasn't the kind of impression I wanted to leave, lol!!! Thankfully it was only for 1 night

I agree with you on that Celeste, soccermama said:Can I ask what it is that makes you so nervous about sharing a room with your Executive Director? I mean, I know these are people who have been very successful in their business... but why be nervous around them.... just another person, IMO
I met my SED a few months ago and she is the sweetest thing!!!! When I put my hand out to shake hands with her, she gave me a hug instead. Too sweet! (I'm a hugger, so it was cool with me...) And that was on our FIRST meeting! I think I would learn alot and have a great time sharing a room with her!
Sharing beds wouldn't bother me, either.... it just isn't that big a deal to me, I guess because I figure everyone has SOME little quirk about them, so I don't worry about my own, ya know?
The cost of a conference ticket varies depending on the event, location, and any early bird discounts that may apply. It is best to check the conference website for specific pricing information.
In addition to the ticket price, you may need to consider travel expenses, such as airfare or gas, accommodations, meals, and any optional activities or workshops offered at the conference. These costs can add up quickly, so it's important to budget accordingly.
Some conferences may have partnerships with nearby hotels that offer discounted rates for attendees. It's worth checking the conference website or contacting the organizers to see if there are any recommended accommodations at a lower cost.
Some conferences offer scholarships or financial assistance for attendees who may not be able to afford the full cost of the event. Check the conference website or reach out to the organizers to see if there are any options available.
To save money on conference costs, consider carpooling with other attendees, staying at a budget-friendly hotel or hostel, and packing your own meals instead of dining out. You can also look for early bird discounts or promotional codes for the conference ticket. Additionally, some companies may cover the cost of attending a conference, so it's worth checking with your employer to see if this is an option.
