Hey y'all ... I was thinking of doing a Back to School Bash where I would give ideas and tips on how to make fast, nutritious and yummy school lunches and snacks .... I've looked in the files and every where else I can think of but all I can find is information on dinner meals etc and not focusing on lunches and snacks .... does anyone have any ideas? Here are some of the ones I've come up with ....

1. cutting fruits and veggies and showing how they fit in the glass storage containers.
2. using the cut n seal to make sandwiches

I cannot think of any other ideas .... Can you smart people PLEASE help me out?!!

When cutting the fruit (& some veggies), use the creative cutters for fun shapes :).
Also, you can make corn dogs in the brownie pan as well as omelets, mini pizzas, etc...

I just seen someone use the french fry cutter for watermelon sticks! What about using that for apple sticks?
I was trying to think of the same thing like back to school bundles?
Anyone else have any ideas?

Have several great ideas for what to pack in the lunch, but nothing that really showcases the products very well.

Check in the Kids Theme show thread. There's a pic of the Friut and Cheese Cutter for
PB&J. Or it's in the new product area under Fruit and Cheese Cutter..

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some quick and easy lunch ideas for back to school?

Some quick and easy lunch ideas include wraps made with whole grain tortillas filled with lean proteins like turkey or chicken, fresh vegetables, and hummus. You can also prepare bento boxes with a mix of fruits, cheese, whole grain crackers, and nuts. Another option is to make pasta salad with veggies and a light dressing, which can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.

How can I make nutritious snacks for my kids?

Nutritious snacks can include yogurt parfaits with granola and fresh fruit, veggie sticks with hummus or guacamole, and whole grain muffins. You can also prepare energy bites using oats, nut butter, and honey, which are easy to grab and packed with nutrients. Additionally, consider making homemade trail mix with nuts, seeds, and dried fruits.

What are some tips for meal prepping school lunches?

Meal prepping can save time and ensure healthy options are available. Start by planning your meals for the week and creating a shopping list. Dedicate a few hours on the weekend to prepare and portion out lunches and snacks into containers. Use a variety of ingredients to keep things interesting, and consider freezing some items to maintain freshness throughout the week.

How can I involve my kids in preparing their lunches?

Involving kids in lunch preparation can make them more excited about eating healthy. Allow them to choose their favorite fruits and vegetables at the grocery store. In the kitchen, let them help with simple tasks like washing produce, assembling wraps, or packing their lunchboxes. This not only teaches them valuable skills but also encourages them to try new foods.

What are some healthy alternatives to traditional school lunch items?

Instead of traditional sandwiches, consider using lettuce wraps or whole grain pita pockets filled with lean proteins and veggies. Swap sugary snacks for fresh fruit, yogurt, or homemade granola bars. For drinks, opt for water or unsweetened beverages instead of sugary juices. These alternatives can provide better nutrition while still being enjoyable for kids.
