I just did a family expo this weekend w/ a friend (raesmom), and started making my calls. Well one phone answered Bueno, I almost hung up, but went on with my spiel. Anyways she asked when do I have to do it, and where.

Well she scheduled a cooking show for May 16th, but I am afraid she didn't totally understand me, and that I will be cooking for the family. This also could be a good recruiting, to get a spanish speaker for my team. I am worried and I still feel like I should of hanged up. I don't know what to do....

Thanks for listening!

Amanda ~ OMG what a FANTASTIC opportunity for you! If I were you, I'd find a friend who could speak Spanish...the go between!!! Hosting a show, recruiting ~ OH YEAH BABY ! ! !

Good luck ~ let us know how it goes!

I would be excited too. I know there is a big Hispanic market here but haven't found a way in yet. I'd love to just recruit someone to take it on b/c I think they'd do great! If you aren't sure if she understood (only you know how the conversation felt), I'd call her again or meet with her in person. If you have someone that speaks Spanish, that would be GREAT! Or even ask HER if she's comfortable with English and would the guests be as well or would she be able to translate. As for how she answered the phone, you never know. I had someone go into a long story after I said, "Hi, ____?" She thought I was her daughter!
