That sounds like a good idea! I haven't made this yet, but was thinking about the Pantry plus a clove of garlic, too....?

What do those of you who have tasted it think? Garlic...yes or no?

Paula
Duh!!

And fresh ginger!

Has anybody made the recipe on the pantry gift yet? I have the ingredients, but don't want to make it when I have nobody to share with or I may be joining in the blueberry girl club...

I picked up some items for the "bliss" recipe, but have to check the pantry for the rest. That's next on the list. Maybe for at my games party this Friday.

Oh, this is to die for ... :p It's even good when you mess it up. I forgot one of the blissful ingredients in the first stage, so just topped it off with the chopped stuff. Yum. Now I have the REAL recipe in the oven. I'm making it tomorrow night for a show and have to get it right, you know. :D

mmmm...... soooooooo good!
Needs frosting, but still really good......

Thanks Ann! I may have to make some 2-step fudge and use the extra frosting for this... now that would be an indulgent day!

I did what Ann did....can't decide which one I liked best, they were both good!

This is a hilarious thread! I can't imagine reading it w/o knowing what in the world you all are talking about. I've only tried the the pantry recipe, and I thought it did need a little bit of frosting, but the fam loved it anyway.

mmmm.... they were both good. "i" was traditional, but "a" was really good, too.
Sprinkle a little more on top, it adds some extra flavor.

I added a little extra butter and I'm sure I used more of the pantry ingredient than the recipe called for (I was way too lazy to measure!). Mine were really gooey and quite yummiful! I didn't think they needed icing.

Oh, I'm making the entree one tomorrow for dinner. I made the 'appetizer' one for our cluster meeting tonight....VERY YUMMY! I'm very afraid of making the blissful one....I'm trying to loose a few pounds and I'd eat the entire thing!

No you wouldn't Linda. It's way too rich ...

Yes. My family loved it. I just did the more traditional one. I haven't done the other yet.

ohh... I love gooey... I am going to have to try this 1/2 and 1/2 thing soon...

Not yet...but I did dump some of each out into my palm and ate it plain!!

I think these items will be this catalog's "mix-n-chop" as in, runaway star sales!

I am going to make the new pantry recipe that Chef Chris did..I am going to make it for our cluster meeting in 2 weeks...but I am going to have to test it out a few times at home first, kwim?

I am going to try it soon. Can not wait!!

My recruit (pcrenee - hi, honey!) went to the Test Kitchen workshop and they called the App. recipe and it's variations "[ingredient] plus three", because each variation is the main ingredient plus 3 ingredients. What a great way to market the recipes!

I can't wait to try that one - [ingredient] is one of my favorites, and it's such a classy thing to serve. Plus people always assume that it's hard to do, so you look like the queen of the kitchen. :)

What a great idea! It's one of my favorites too - and you can get it at Costco in a 3-pack for a decent price......so I can try all three! I couldn't decide which one looked the best to me - so of course I do NEED to try all three!

I think this seasons Themes and recipes are the best (and most user friendly) I have ever seen - Kudos to the Test Kitchen on these!

I agree. Thanks to HO for listening to us! Seriously, how many people read the "advanced" recipes and immediately think, "There is NO WAY in HECK that I am even attempting that at a show!"
