Here are some fridge reminders that I came up with. It has helped my hosts to remember everything. I used to have a post card for each one but this seems to work better.

I just put it in the host packet. I don't put a magnet on it since most of the hosts have Stainless Steel refridgerators. I always see it on their desk or counter when I come in. When I do my host coaching I ask if they looked at it and most say they have it where they can see it so they can go to the store. Only once so far I have had to give a replacement.

This also helps with choosing a recipe. I now do 1 recipe a month and if I have multiple bookings at a show for the same month I have an extra to counter that one. I don't give my hosts a choice anymore and it helps with not taking too much products too.

I love it!! Thanks for sharing!!:)

Borrow and borrow and borrow some MORE! That is why I love this site. I rarely chat anymore but I love to share.

Have a great month ladies and let me know if they work for you!

I will DEFINITELY borrow it!!!!!!!
Thanks.

I like it! I'm going to give it a try:)!

I love this too and will definitely borrow... Just wondering if everyone can share what they put in their host folders. I am using what my director put in mind when I booked (just copied)... but I feel that a lot of it is repetitive and would like to know what everyone else is doing. Thanks for sharing.... I might start a new thread with this question... I think that I will.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are efficient fridge reminders and why are they important?

Efficient fridge reminders are systems or tools that help you keep track of the items in your refrigerator, including expiration dates and inventory levels. They are important because they help reduce food waste, ensure you use ingredients before they spoil, and keep your fridge organized, ultimately saving you time and money.

How can I set up an efficient fridge reminder system?

You can set up an efficient fridge reminder system by using a combination of physical labels, digital apps, or a whiteboard. Start by labeling items with their purchase dates and expiration dates. You can also use apps that send notifications when items are nearing their expiration or create a simple checklist on a whiteboard to track what you have in your fridge.

What tools or apps are recommended for fridge reminders?

There are several tools and apps available for fridge reminders, such as "Fridge Pal," "Expiry Date," and "NoWaste." These apps allow you to input items, track expiration dates, and receive notifications. Additionally, using a magnetic whiteboard or a chalkboard on your fridge can serve as a simple, visual reminder system.

How often should I update my fridge reminders?

It’s best to update your fridge reminders regularly, ideally every time you add or remove items from your fridge. A weekly check can help ensure that you are aware of what you have and what needs to be used soon. This practice helps maintain an organized fridge and minimizes the chances of food waste.

Can fridge reminders help with meal planning?

Yes, fridge reminders can significantly aid in meal planning. By knowing what ingredients you have and their expiration dates, you can plan meals around what needs to be used first. This not only helps in reducing waste but also allows for more efficient grocery shopping and meal preparation.
