I am going to a show tomorrow that was booked off of my show. This is the second one. I know that PL gives some sort of booking gift to the past host. I'm not sure if I got it last month when I went to the first one. Is this something I have to ask for or will the rep automatically do it. And how do I know that I got it for last month?

I'd ask the consultant/rep. Have fun at the show.

Hope this helps.

It's not the catalog as we know it but it's about the best that they offer.

As far as host gifts I think you have to have a certain amount in sales and bookings to get the gifts.

Anne,
As a "seasoned" Party Lite hostess, this is how I've known the Host Program to work:
They have "Booking Gifts" that hostesses can earn based on # of bookings. In order to qualify, you must have had at least $250 in guest sales at your show.
They have 2 booking, 3 booking, and 4 booking gifts. The first booking must be held within 30 days of your show and I believe the rest must be within 60 days. After the last booked show, your consultant will have to submit to the company what you would like within 30 days of the date of that show. I know the consultant has to pay for a portion of the "gift", so if I were you, I'd definitely ask her how you go about choosing your booking gift. HTH!

Thanks, Harriet!

Jen: Thanks! I will be sure to ask her. Do I have to wait for all the shows to be held to get something or do I get something after each one? I had a $1300 show with 3 bookings. I don't think the 3rd is going to hold, though.

I am hosting a PL show for one of my first PC host this month. I am so afraid I am going to bomb as I literally do not know anybody where I live that would even come. Anybody want to order anything? Let me know.

Usually hosts/guests, etc can view the Consultant's web site online and see more products online too.

Please let me know! I can pay either you or her/him via paypal :) Instantly!

I am struggling to have a PL catty show right now too, LOL! My SIL just signed with them and she hosted my first PC show, so I offered to help. I feel like I am asking too much to look at PL catalogs this week, and still get them buying discontinued products and booking PC shows!

Does your SIL live near you? Do a combination show with her. Now may not be the time to do it, but maybe closer to a holiday, like mother's day or something. It could be a good thing that she is now selling PL, maybe you can get some referrals from her PL customers. I did that with my SIL when she was selling Avon. I would carry one of her catalogs with me and she would carry one of mine.

I'm hosting a PL show myself tomorrow and I think maybe 4 people are coming out of the 40 that I invited. I only had one person seem even interested in placing and OO for it. Now I know how discouraged my hosts can get. I also see now how truly important host coaching is. My PL consultant is not the best at following up and doing things when she says she is going to and it really gets irritating. I hope I'm not like that.

It must be Partylite month!! I am hosting one on Monday. My PL rep is awsome.

My PL consultant (Jen) is having a PC party on Saturday, so I'm the opposite of all of you:) . Jen is the best - she was my first PC host 5 years ago and hosts at least one show a year (and I host one for her). She usually only gets 8-10 people to show up at her shows, but has at least 10 outside orders for me, usually more!:D We started around the same time and she has over 100 people on her team!! I don't know how she does it...
