He biggest thing is they are hyping up the higher commission they get. How do I compete with that?
I need something good to counter with.
TIA?
Chef Kearns said:Just ask her about everything else...do they get a chance to buy new products at 50% off each season? Do they have to pay for credt card processing? How often does their season changeover? Also, which products does she have a greater passion for? That will make a difference in how successful she is with any business she starts.

Do they get commission adjustments when customers return items?
Do they have to hold inventory?
How much does a website cost, or is one even offered?
Really...when it comes down to it, she needs to sign with the company that she has a PASSION for.

I just got finished reading the article in that Addie4TLC put up. I am so glad that someone wrote something like that.
I would definitely have your girl read that.
I am so glad to be apart of PC and everything that they have to offer our host's and customers, as well as us consultants!
I had a Premiere Jewelry party just last week actually. I did a party for her and she did one for me. So anyways... when I got my $77 in free product as a host for my saled...I found out that I had to still pay tax on that free product! I was shocked...but I guess not everyone can be as good for host's as PC. I also asked my jewelry lady a lot of questions about what she has to do as a consultant. I was shocked to find out that she had to pay to have a monthly service at her house to run people's credit cards. That is something that I would definitely not be willing to do.. it's a lot of money, like $150 a month.
So anyways.. I know I have rambled on for awhile. BUt all you can do is lay it all out to her and show her everything, she will make her choice, and hopefully it will be a wise oneAlso, I tell all of my new recruits to talk things over with their husbands and make sure that they are going to have their support and that it is something they are willing to work with as a couple. (that was something in that article that I was not surprised to hear is that they tell people to not talk to their husbands about it!!)
Everyone has to eat! I love PC:love:
To effectively recruit new team members while managing family pressure, focus on building a strong personal brand and showcasing the benefits of joining your team. Share success stories, highlight the flexibility of the business, and emphasize the supportive community. Additionally, create a clear recruiting plan that outlines your goals and strategies, allowing you to stay focused and motivated despite external pressures.
Open communication is key. Share your enthusiasm for Pampered Chef by discussing your experiences, successes, and the joy it brings you. Explain how it fits into your life and goals. Be prepared to address any concerns they may have and emphasize the positive impact it has on your personal and financial growth. This can help them understand your commitment and passion.
If your family is unsupportive, it’s important to stay focused on your goals and surround yourself with a supportive network. Seek encouragement from fellow Pampered Chef consultants or join online communities where you can share experiences and gain motivation. Remember, not everyone will understand your journey, but staying committed to your vision will help you succeed.
When faced with negative comments, respond with positivity and confidence. Acknowledge their concerns but reiterate the benefits and successes you’ve experienced. Share your vision and the potential for growth within your business. It can also be helpful to set boundaries regarding discussions about your business if it leads to negativity, allowing you to maintain a healthy relationship with your family.
Utilize a variety of resources to enhance your recruiting strategies, including Pampered Chef training materials, webinars, and social media groups dedicated to direct sales. Books on sales techniques and personal development can also provide valuable insights. Additionally, consider mentorship from successful consultants who can share their experiences and strategies for overcoming challenges, including family pressure.
