Hey all!

I had my second ultrasound on Thursday of last week. They said all looks well....baby is growing like he should...measuring about a week ahead of time so I could go early, or he could just be a bit bigger than Evan was.

They re-confirmed that it is a boy. Now with two ultrasounds saying BOY...I think I am believing it. (Glad, too...since one of my best friends has given me lots of BOY stuff!!)

Six to eight weeks to go!

Good Luck Kelly!! How exciting!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during the Week 32 ultrasound?

During the Week 32 ultrasound, you can expect a detailed examination of your baby's growth and development. The ultrasound technician will measure the baby's size, check the position, and assess the amniotic fluid levels. This is also an opportunity to see your baby's features more clearly and monitor any potential concerns.

How much should my baby weigh by Week 32?

By Week 32, the average baby typically weighs around 3.5 to 4 pounds. However, it's important to remember that every baby is different, and growth can vary widely. Your healthcare provider will track your baby's growth through ultrasounds and measurements during your prenatal visits.

Can the ultrasound confirm the baby's gender at this stage?

Yes, by Week 32, an ultrasound can usually confirm the baby's gender if the baby is in a favorable position. The technician will look for specific anatomical markers that indicate whether the baby is male or female. However, it's important to note that there is still a small chance of error.

What are the signs of healthy growth for my baby at this stage?

Signs of healthy growth at Week 32 include consistent weight gain, normal fetal movements, and a heartbeat within the typical range of 120-160 beats per minute. Your healthcare provider will also monitor your baby's growth through ultrasounds and fundal height measurements during your visits.

What should I do if my ultrasound shows concerns about my baby's growth?

If your ultrasound shows concerns about your baby's growth, your healthcare provider will discuss the findings with you and may recommend additional monitoring or tests. It's important to follow their advice and ask any questions you may have to ensure you understand the situation and the next steps.
