I have heard that glue works. Same theory as the duct tape. Maybe if its in a little deeper the glue might get in there and once it dries slowly pull it away from the splinter. Maybe some peroxide will help draw it out. Good Luck.

If anybody has a Bed Bath & Beyond near them they carry the Winsor Pillates system that is "seen on tv". The store near me has the system on clearance for 19.99. For anybody that is interested in trying it you might want to check if you have a BB&B that is close.
