Should it take 4 hours to bake scalloped potatoes in the rectangle baker? I had someone call me and said the it took her mom 4hours to bake. Any idea?

hey all, i got a question. whenever i make sliced potatoes it burns my SS cookware to pieces, and it sticks to the bottom like crazy. is there anything i can do so that wont happeN?

I was at my parents last night, and we were making mashed potatoes. I couldn't find their potatoe masher, and used the pastry blender. It worked wonderful. It was so easy.
